Class of 2012 Acceptance Letters?

waitlisted... but im actually kind of happy about that because its a really small school

No letter here in California. What's taking it so long?

Waitlisted...
ballin

Now, it's time to have some fun with Columbia, Princeton, and HAHVAHD.

Waitlisted.

But not concerned. If my Swarthmore fate goes the same way, however...

Rejected.

But I never sent in the Common App supplement or payment so I guess it's kind of expected.

Still surprised that they considered my application.

I just logged into the finaid website, and was able to get in.

I haven't gotten the letter yet, so I don't know for sure, but is the fact that I accessed the site evidence that I was accepted?...I need some good news...

Pretzel, i think not. I just accessed the site too, and on a blurb somewhere it says it was "implemented to allow students and applicants to access their financial aid application statuses" et cetera.

I live on the West Coast of Canada, and still haven't received anything.

Waitlisted. sigh

wahh, i haven't gotten anything yet >.<" freaking out now why do all my schools have to arrive on the same day - monday? >.<" not gonna be a fun day =/

I don't think mail comes to the West Coast that quickly, so I'm waiting for Monday.

Thanks, kiwikimmi... I sure hope so! But meh, I shouldn't be complaining, because I already got into another great LAC, and not getting into Amherst makes me situation less complicated and opens up a space for someone else. :P

Sigh. Living in California is terrible! Monday's going to be a great day alright...

living in Colorado's terrible too.. ivy's and all these lac's monday. great, just great. why do they all have to come on the SAME day. i wa shoping for a few days to recover if i got rejections. now monday, when i open the mailbox, all these letters will be there staring back at me >.<" scared

Rejected, pretty bummed, I got it at the same time as Swarthmore's rejection...but I'll live.
congrats to those who got in :)

Those of you who have received a decision: Have you checked your status online? Did you see any decision posted? My D checked her status online and found nothing except what she sent in. Does that imply she was rejected since Amherst's decision has been on the road now?

Thanks for any response!

Nothing in my AC data has changed..., so, no, I don't think it means she's been rejected.

Crazydad, my son was accepted ED and his online status looks just the same; just the documents received and test scores. The online status doesn't have anything related to acceptance. So no news yet for you.

My son did receive the big priority mail packet today (we're in Oregon), which was a nice touch. I mean, he already knew he was accepted, his deposit has long since been sent, and all of that... but it's nice they sent the admissions packet to the ED kids too, and on the same date it appears. The ED accpetance back in Dec. was just a regular little business size envelope with a couple pieces of paper in it (albeit with wonderful news), so it was nice to get a big envelope in the mailbox like the accepted RD students. He thought so, and me too.

@crazydad001 - if your D also asked for financial aid, please see my post #113 above and give that link a try. It is different from the online application status checking website, which has NOT CHANGED for my S who has received an acceptance email. For candidates who have also applied for FA, this seems to be the only way to check (tentatively) if they have been accepted, because there is no way now that anybody will get any mail before Monday.

And, even if the FA status website shows nothing, don't give up hope yet. Delays and errors in posting / updating seem to be a common feature of college admissions this year.

Good luck everybody!

Omg..omg..omg so if I am able to log on to the financial aid page, does that mean I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN ACCEPTED SOMEWHERE??? =O I'll like die of happiness lol.. this would totally cheer me up after my Rice rejection >.<

Thanks a lot, DanielCarp17, 'rentof2 and IntlDad, for your responses, which gives us hope. I'll ask her to check the other link and see if it has anything for her.

mellywithlove: It doesn't mean anything. Everybody can log in, regardless of their decision. The only people who can't log in are those who forgot their password.
