Does Amherst only release decisions through the mail or are they also released online?

Just the mail.

When will it be mailed?

what about poor intl students who live on the other side of the planet? Do we still wait for the snail mail?

Don't quote me on this, but I believe international students get email. Everyone else gets snail mail.

I believe Anonymous is correct.

I'm an American citizen living in China and I got my 'early acceptance' by mail just yesterday. It was sent out on the 4th of this month. Will I get a 'regular' notification, or is the fat and little, but by no means less monumental, envelope all that's coming my way?

how about ppl in canada? are we getting emails with the intl students or just snail mail?

As far as I know, everyone's getting a snail mail? >__<

wait so both acceptances and rejections come in little envelopes?

No. Waitlists and Rejections come in standard-sized envelopes.

Acceptance packages come in... well...

actually, the acceptance comes in a standard size envelope too
but it still feels great :)

They all come in the normal-sized envelopes, but if you're curious, the acceptance has a few pieces of paper in it, so you can actually tell when you pick it up. It's thicker.

International student here, just got waitlisted. Yayness.

I don't know if I was being sarcastic or not. Maybe.

Duboi:

Well at least there is some hope. Would you please post your stats ?(if you don't mind)

i don't know dudboi maybe that was a tad bit of reaction formation

While an acceptance would be great, for sure. I think my son would be pretty darn happy to be waitlisted as well... especially this year.

Oops. I didn't know that acceptance letters came in standard-sized envelopes too.

My bad.

As an accepted-off-the-waitlist student, I received a package with a folder of information.

Can you check on your my amherst account?

D got accepted today and it came in large envelope!
