I know we're barely halfway into August and it may seem a little early to be thinking about UC admissions, but I think that the earlier you get things done, the more time you have to go over them and perfect them, such as with the essays. Although I'm not part of the Class of 2012, I definitely wouldn't mind helping the upcoming seniors in whatever way I can, with regard to admissions (i.e. chance, essay revising, etc.)

I'll start off with my first tip:

• The early bird gets the worm: What I mean by this is what I said earlier..the more time you give yourself to work on your application, the more time you'll have to polish it. For instance, essays. Most people tend to do them the same month they're due (November) and get one (maybe two, if they're lucky) opinions in regard to them. The point of finishing essays earlier isn't so you can just toss it aside and relax for the next three months; it's so you can keep going over them OVER AND OVER AND OVER. The same goes with the rest of your application.

I'll post more of these as time progresses :)

If you have any questions, totally feel free to ask!
