Class of 2012: Junior Year Schedules!!!!

The most important year of HS (to college adcoms) ... and mine's pretty weak. :(

AP English Language
AP U.S. History
Honors Pre-Calculus
Honors Physics I
Honors French IV
Health
Advanced Physical Education
Plus one elective that'll either be a marketing, writing, or social science class.

I've shown you mine, you show me yours?

W/ Honors US History:
AP Comparative Government/Art History
AP Microeconomics
AP Biology
Honors Bio Lab
Honors English III
Honors Precalculus
Honors US History

W/ AP US History:
AP US History
AP Comp Gov/Microeconomics/Art History (HELP ME CHOOSE, I currently have AH on there, but I might wanna change it, because I’m not an artsy guy and they just added those other 2)
AP Biology
Honors Bio Lab
Honors English III
Honors Precalculus
Study Hall

If you’re not artsy, don’t do AP Art History. It’s not worth it. I would take Microeconomics, but only because it’s not offered at my school. And you have a choice between Honors or AP, too? At my school, there’s either an AP or an Honors, but not both. My school sucks.

There’s only an honors option now because they wanted to minimize the achievement gap for minorities, which is complete BS, they could just take AP’s if they want to try. Had this been added last year, I could have taken like 4 or 5 honors classes freshman year. :l The only reason I might switch AP US History is because if I get the same teacher I did this year I might get B’s and C’s in an AP class and I’d rather have an A in an honors than a B or a C in an AP. Our school is out of 6 point weighted, so the highest I can get next year is a 5.5, and that’s my goal, or close to it.

Honors Physics
Gym
Honors Pre-Calculus
Lunch
AP United States History
AP Statistics
AP Computer Science

I wonder how the Asians in your school felt about that tosh.

Yanno. This is such a wierd thing to see. I’ve been lurking here since the 2010’s were posting their Junior schedules. Yea, I know. But it’s cool to finally see the 2012!

Is it weird to be jealous of the number of APs everybody’s taking? Because I am.
Grade 10 - 1
Grade 11 - 2
Grade 12 - 7
Stupid high school requirements and limitations. I’ll be the only senior working my butt off AND colleges will think I don’t understand the concept of time management.

AP Calc BC
AP English
French 3
Health

AP US History

I feel like a complete slacker. There are only three AP classes that juniors can take at my school, and two of those I can’t take because we’re limited to 4 AP/Honors classes, I had to get an exception to push my schedule through…

Is this going to hurt me?

Well, if your school does not allow it, then you can’t really do anything about it. Colleges will understand that, and Honors classes are just as good as APs in some cases, just without any college credit. It’s not like adcoms are expecting you to push forth legislation to change your school board AP policies. :)

Projected Junior Year Schedule:

1st semester:
AP Calc AB
AP US History 2
AP Physics
Honors English

2nd Semester:
AP Calc BC
AP Statistics
AP Chemistry

are 4 AP’s manageable with APUSH?
