I’m pretty sure I’m going to apply ED as well, but to Dartmouth. It’s a reach for me, but I love that school. I’m thinking ED will give me more of a chance than RD will.

I would apply ED to MIT if they had it.

Also, ED does give you a slight boost

depends on the school.

For MIT, applying EA gives an insignificant boost.

Not for this year’s applicants. They used to only accept ~30% of the class through EA.

Now they changed their policy to 50 EA and 50 RD. it’s in their blog.

Looking to aim high, but really nervous about the intensity of some of these apps. I’m scared about taking on too many! :(

First choice: Stanford REA

Second choices: Dartmouth, USC, UCLA, Tulane, Northwestern

Safety: Some state college

This is my list as of now…but aside from my top seed it pretty much changes weekly. :)

So many people applying to USC next year!
Class of 2011 screwed us over though, since they were the largest class thus far. Sigh.

Sometimes I hope that our class has a really high number of unqualified applicants… Just so we can all get in lol

Ahahaha it’s probably wrong of us to think that, but… I hope so too ■■■■■.

Well, I hope they are qualified but all apply to their state schools :)

Changed my list. Too many people go to VT from my school… so

MIT, CMU, Harvard, Yale, UVa, George Mason, UPenn, Stanford, Princeton.

I have just done HYPSM.

Lol.

So is George Mason your safety?

I need a financial safety… I’m ****ed lol.

My financial safeties = academic reaches.

Nevermind… Chapman is my financial safety, lol. :D

George Mason is such a safety lol.

and a financial safety…

Technically… UVa is a safety as well.

Reaches: UCSB, UCSC, U of Washington

Matches: U of Oregon, U of Colorado Boulder, SDSU, Oregon State, Washington State

Safeties: U of Arizona, SFSU, Humboldt State, Sonoma State, UC Merced/Riverside

@collegechica: I’m applying to Dartmouth too! It’s a reach for me, but it’s still my first choice! :)

I really need a financial safety! Probably UCSB…it was supposed to be UCSD, but after looking at some of those decision threads, I don’t really know anymore :/

Updated:
