Hang in there…last years thread suggest not everyone was notified on the same day. I know I didn’t meet their criteria but will say a silent prayer for you and the others!!!

no word yet…someone from my school got the 20,000 scholarship last year

To the person who was confident with 250 service hours: I have over 700 and I haven’t been notified.

It seems to be that no emails have been sent today I just spoke to a couple of friends that haven’t heard anything either.

Anticipation is killing me…

They tweeted on December 4 (I just found it now) that they will email everyone by December 14. Last year they sent emails over several days to both those who made semifinalist and those who didn’t.

@abby…you rock!!! It’s not over till it’s over. Hang in there!

ijasanders…You are absolutely right! It’s not over till it’s over!!!

Most definitely hanging in there!

Awe thank you!!! We are in this together haha That is…until we are all semi finalists competing for that cash

@abby & Dancer…I am resigned and praying for u both. The good Lord has something else planned for my financial needs to assist with college. I am blessed!!! Come on emailsssssssssssssssssssssss

@ijasanders

Thank you for such sweet encouragement and prayers. God bless you!

…Well, I have been on the computer all day awaiting and hoping for some type of news; any news.

However, doesn’t seem like anyone has heard anything today which is very disappointing.

I am signing off now and wishing everyone the best of luck. I need to move on with my life and hope that better days are to come; along with better scholarship news from other I have applied to.

Congrats to all the others that have received positive news. I wish you the best in the upcoming days ahead that you will be a finalist.

@ijasanders resignation is no way to succeed in life… I’m not saying have blind hope either. Obviously only a very few people have been notified and there are still many more that will be notified.

I’m not sure why people are freaking out… just wait for the email. It’s not hugely difficult to get semifinalist for this scholarship, if you believe you’re well qualified compared to other people you know that have got it, you probably will. Just stop freaking out. Even if you don’t get it, there are millions of other scholarships.

^ 2000 semifinalists out of 110,000 applicants. Those aren’t excellent chances.

Everyone who has been notified as semifinalist:

First off, congrats! Second, around what time did you guys get the email?

@danieljvdm…resigned not defeated… For me I feel I fell short on community service hours and work history. I have several other scholarship opportunities to embrace. Thanks for the encouraging post! There are those on here with stats far superior to mine which in this situation makes them deserving. I will shine in good time…everything happens for a reason.

We have not heard anything either. My daughter is ranked 6 out of 310, has a 4.0, and is an IB diploma candidate. She does Student Council, Drama, Model UN, Literary, Reading Bowl, Chorus, Show Choir, Environmental Club, Key Club, and Art. She’s won several drama, art, and writing awards and held club office. She was a Girl’s State delegate, a semifinalist in the Governor’s Honors Program, a Georgia Certificate of Merit award winner. At the time that she filled out the application, she had over 700 community service hours. She has since acquired 100 or so more. All anyone can do is hope for the best. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

semifinalist! got the email yesterday a little past noon:)

Did anyone get an email today, one way or the other? No notification for my daugther.

I called Coca-cola today. They said they are still in the process of notifying semifinalists! Good luck everyone!

Reporter : Your daughter sounds like my daughter! Almost identical activities! Best of luck to her!
