Where do you think you'll be applying by the end of this year?

Rice, Baylor, WUSTL, Rhodes, Yale (haha, I need one super reach!), and maybe Carleton.

I’m looking into other colleges (a few more safeties probably and one more reach for fun) also, but these are my main college choices so far :D.

5 Ivies (I know, unrealistic, but the admissions process is so truly random that I still have hope, but I won’t be disappointed if I don’t get it. That’s how I feel about Duke) ; Duke, Reed, NYU, and Brandeis; And my safeties/high matches are: Penn State and UMass. I know it’s a bit excessive, but I’m just paranoid I won’t get in anywhere. I need to get a job to pay for application fees though :/

Lets go class of '13!!
I will be applying to:
Columbia (most likely ED),
NYU,
CUNY Baruch and the Macaulay Honors College,
St Joseph’s U in Philly,
University of Virginia,
Villanova,
a SUNY school not sure which one yet but probably New Paltz
Scranton
And University of San Francisco
I live in NYC so that’s why I have more northeast schools but I absolutely love SF so I have one west coast school! Looking forward to see where I get accepted :)

26 schools including every Ivy.

I’m paranoid. Lol.

^You’re worse than me. Lol, I want to apply to more, but don’t have enough money

I’m from FL, but absolutely hate FL schools (and FL in general), which is why I have no southern schools except Duke (it’s awesome though).

I have a list of 29 schools that I NEED to narrow down this summer. The breakdown is 6 far reaches, 11 reaches, 8 possibles, and 4 likelys [ranked by my college counselor]. So far my top choice far reaches are Cornell, Amherst and Brown. I really like Georgetown, Northwestern and Rice [and Bowdoin!], which are reaches, as well.

Pace University
LIU
SUNY Oneonta
CUNY queens college
Sage colleges ( gaurenteed acceptance)
College of Saint Rose

I’m so happy to have a final list! It makes me so nervous and excited at the same time to think about college.

Hamilton (my only reach, surprised I didn’t like any other “top-tier” schools)
Northeastern
Fordham (my two matches)
Fairfield
U. Of Pitt
Manhattanville
U. Of Denver (my safety schools. I’m paranoid of not getting in anywhere.)

@Rachel

I love Duke.
Yeah, I’m so worried that I won’t make it in anywhere.

Yeah, I plan on getting many fees waived. I’m super poor. LOL

I am too. But you can only get 4 fee waivers

Where did you hear this?

^NACAC or whatever it is states it in their fee waiver policy, and if you qualify for free/reduced lunch your guidance counselor tells you that you only get four fee waivers.

I have 13 schools. It’s either staying this long or getting shorter and that’s the end of it. lol

Caltech
MIT
Harvard
Princeton
Rice
Berkeley (?)
Harvey Mudd (?)

depending on SAT score, will adjust accordingly

Early to UNC, and hopefully that’s it.

Nuuuuuuuu. Lol.

I heard that the school itself will waive the fee per a letter from your counselor…

Cornell, Amherst, Dartmouth, Brown, G’town, UNC, Northwestern, Rice, Tufts…

Penn State, Temple, Drexel, and then Lafayette or Lehigh for my “high” reaches (maybe). If I can raise my SAT/ACT score enough before I apply to colleges, perhaps I can add some “better” colleges to my list, but the first three are the ones I’m really looking at.

12th-ish revision of my list
Rice
Princeton
Vanderbilt
Yale
UChicago
USCarolina/Clemson (not sure which… definitely one of these, possibly both. Read: maany factors at play here)
Boston University
Columbia

(Bolds are definite applications, all the others are still subject to massive change, haha)

7 Canadian schools, 7 American schools.
US:
Elon
Ball State
Northwestern
IU Bloomington
Otterbein
Baldwin-Wallace
Temple
