Which are the schools that have engineering as an option and at the same time provide almost full financial aid (need based or need blind or if any other) for internationals?

^^and BTW colleges with 3/2 programs that meet the above criteria are also okay.............

Guys I need a clear definition of SAFETIES, REACH and MEDIUM..............

Dartmouth. It offers 3/2 with a number of LACs, methinks.

I heard Swarthmore's pretty generous with aid, though not need-blind.

Smith's generous too (are you female?)

Add to that, Mount Holyoke and Wellesley(if that's the correct spelling) ... i wonder how i know so much about women's colleges ... :P

^ I don't think those offer engineering though. Smith definitely does.

Mount Holyoke's Science Programs are Awesome, and being part of the Five College Consortium, I guess there must be some Engineering opportunities. No about Wellesley tho.

Thanks guys for the information .........
I don't wanna know about womens' schools but the information may be helpful to many of ya out here............

Still some more????????

And BTW I am a male and S.O.=straight

I'm pretty sure somebody here knows this :D
I'm taking my Sat subject tests in november, after my sat in october, so when I select score recipients for my sat subject test, they'll see my sat-scores as well, won't they?
Just asking, because this might save me some money...

^ Yep, they will. The selective score reporting thing where you can pick what scores to send only applies to the class of '10 and everyone who graduates after that. We unlucky sods have all our scores sent, whether we like it or not. :p

Wait let me understand this right, we HAVE to say on the SAT tests where we're applying and they will send our scores there? So we have to take the right institution code and everything to the test centre etc?

You get to choose 4 places and they'll send your scores for free... after those 4 it costs i think $10 a school.

That's great. Well not if I mess up the SATs, but it'll save me some money.

OK! Now, that its decision time, can anybody advise me on safeties? (Ofcourse considering I will be asking for full aid)

For now, I have fixed on Colgate, Colby, Bates, Dickinson, Pomona. Plus, minus? Add Tufts?

And don't lash at me saying that they cannot be safeties or whatever, I know that stuff, but they relatively safer than Harvard, right?

Everything's safer than Harvard :D.

But in all seriousness, an intl seeking aid really doesn't have any safeties.

Have you guys heard of any international applying for freshman admission after taking more than one year (read two) off high school?

I mean can you do that?

Yup, a high school counselor told me that for internationals requiring aid, there are only reaches and dreams.
