Class of 2013

A good friend of mine has a child who is thrilled to be attending Webster as an MT major next Fall. So I’m curious as to who else made their final decision to attend Webster as an MT major … thanks for responding!

There is a thread (MT Class of 2013–FINAL DECISIONS!) under CC’s Musical Theatre Major that lists this info for all schools:

Yes, but unless I’m missing something, no one from Webster responded.

Just posted! My d is starting Webster in the Fall. :)

my son a rising junior just made an initial visit to Webster last week. Lara Teeter was very gracious with his time and we all took a campus tour. Very impressed by the main stage theater and we plan to go back again in a few months to see a spring performance. just curious what sold your d on webster and where else she applied or seriously considered at the end of the process.

I have 2 friends who are going there this year. Both males, one for MT and one for acting. I’m excited to hear what they think and maybe join them next year!

Regine, my daughter says the people and all that implies, hands down, made the decision for her. Of all her auditions, they offered the most positive, comprehensive & personal audition process and she got to experience hands on working with the heads of the depts. She came out of the acting portion saying she’d follow that auditor anywhere, she was that impressed. Once, she visited the campus, saw a production and experienced St. Louis, she was sold. She auditioned at only four schools ( don’t recommend that! ) and was accepted at two of them. Pace and Webster. For her give up her NYC dream for Webster meant she focused more on the program and people being right for her at this time in her development. NYC will always be there, whether it’s graduate school or auditions. Hope that helps!

Things will be starting up soon. We are driving down with our daughter and helping her move in to her new apartment. THis is her last year so if anyone has any questions or needs advice or just wants to meet for a cup of coffee, let me know!

Hi Marianne!

Yes, I’d love to meet up or at least meet you during our stay! We have the scheduled orientation stuff, but let’s try! Move in day is thursday the 20th.

Our whole family will be arriving in St. Louis on Mon. Aug. 17th and leaving on Sat the 22nd. Yes, I said our whole family! Hubby hasn’t gotten to the campus and Sara has a developmentally disabled older sister that’s going to miss her terribly so we thought it was important for her to see where her sister going to be. It’ll make it easier for them to say goodbye and feel ok about it when it’s time to leave. and in the coming months, when she asks where her sister is, she’ll have a personal connection when I say, “Sara’s at college”!

woo! It won’t be long now!

I sent you a personal message with phone numbers etc. We will probably get their on Thursday Aug. 20th. I look forward to meeting all of you!
