I know one thing about cheating in SAT. Its much easier to do that in St. xaviers than Lincoln and Rato Bangala but beware if found cheating your test will be canceled.

@dallo
haha…bnks8 knows more about this rey…haha hashyais yar…

^^^ oh wait… i do regret… i got rejected from both my EDs… so my regret=>>if its rejection then i’d have rather taken it from some ivies… atleast i’d have tried…

You have to apply to a top tier LAC in ED. Don’t go for the ivies unless you are a brilliant student. I say you should go for a highly ranked university or colleges that will meet 100% of your demonstrated financial need. If you get your college right you have better chances of getting accepted in ED than in RD.

^^^^^ AND it saves you a lot of trouble that awaits any RD applicant… sleepless nights, incomplete apps, college correspondence, back-to-back essays during the power cuts … hehe… trust me… its hard…

and dallo…have you got the decision from all the colleges?

BUMP!!

Why no new posts?? come on class of 2014… don’t act so lazy…

Its Nepal. Nobody knows whats gointa happen

Dear accepted and deferred dai haru,

i have a totally different story. I have contracted kidney stones and uric acid this time, so I am not sitting for my MAy June exams. I have sent an application to British Council to defer my test to Oct-Nov or refund it.

What do you think should I still try EA/ ED for 2010 fall with my expected grades… (I hope to try Stanford if everything turns out well? I am a topper at Malpi (no intention of arrogance) and have a great bunch of ECA’s . What do you think I should do? so my plans are:

1)give SAT II (Phy, chem, bio) this june.
2) TOEFL before October (test date haaru ta paunchha hai?)
3) Between June and October: multi Tasking: Prepare for exams, surf colleges and application essays.
I don’t think it will hinder my preparation for exams coz obviously I’ll prepare for 1-2 colleges after June for ED (I.E. I am giving my SATI for the first time. So I’ll be preparing well in advance, the application packets for two colleges, I’ll apply to a good one if my Oct SAT turns out well. if thik thakai aayo bhaane, I ll always have the next college.) besides, then, after Novemeber ta i can fully concentrate on colleges.

4) One question, Oct ko SAT results will probably be declared after 20th of Oct. Since by then, I will have prepared two application packets but i will also have my exams. Do you think, I ll have time to post it to the desired college by then? Tihar ends by Oct 19…

Hey Seniors, please keep posting your discussions, its really really fruitful for us…and continue the trend even after you move to USA. Besides I am thinking of taking your email ids(if you dont mind) after June so that I can keep in touch.

gramblingscholar, U appliedto 28 colleges? sabai ma application fee waive bhayo ta?

Dallo, I think I shall apply to Rollins in RD, so do remain in contact.

BNKS 8 I guess ur coming back with a bang, best of luck for that.

@gurung:
you are from malpi? do i know you? PM me hai. and yes all the colleges waived my app fee (but there are colleges that don’t, be sure to check with them before you apply)

yeh grambling. i just posted on your facebook wall yesterday (we periodically reciprocate) , I guess, now you kno who I am. But there is a twist in my story as I have afore-mentioned it.
And I am really worried whether applying for ED n my Oct-Nov exams will hinder my results, bu t on the flipside, if I apply then my results won’t matter, the thing that would matter are my grades of 1st and 2nd year and all other stuff. I am really bewildered and confused.

^heh, i think you should apply ED - there’s nothing you can lose by applying ED! if you get accepted then all’s awesome, if you don’t then there’s RD, but if you don’t apply then you lose the chance…
and hope you get well soon.
