So I am officially starting this thread for the students applying class of 2018. Anyone on the same boat?

No-one…??? :(

Best wishes class of 2018.

Hello!

I will be applying for the Class of 2018.

A-level or +2?..are you fresh high school graduate or taken gap year?

@Batuli…It will be nice of you to share some experiences with us!!..Where are you studying??

I completed my A Levels in May/June. Recently completed standardized testing (SAT I + II) too.

How much did you score?..

2260 SAT I (760 CR, 700 M and 800 W), 2370 SAT II (770 Biology, 800 Math II, 800 Physics).

Cool…just joined the site yesterday n was thinking of making this thread too…! So ya m trying for the class of 2018 too…! Nice for all da seniors if they’d help us and all my peers too…!

@Phantasmagoria18 wow thats nice … What are you planning to major on??

@here4info you can share your stats and universities if you want to…

I am probably going to major in anthropology or math. Or perhaps political science. Depends on various factors.

Stats…70%+ in hseb… and will be giving my TOEFL n sat tests in da coming few months…!! But colleges n majors… m a blank there…though m considering of studying applied maths!!

the teachers of my school are not much familiar with CommonApp…guess I’ll have a really hard time collecting recommendations…

Got the same problem here too! Not cool! :(

Find teachers who will take the time to write recommendations for you, and explain what is to be done. Usually, it’s an easy step…Common App sends your teacher an email or something and they follow directions.

Are you currently attending Lafayette college?

Yes
10 char

Teacher Recommendations are very very important part of your application … alongside transcripts… Make sure they are on the school’s letter head, properly signed and stamped by the respective teacher or school official…

It is okay to write the letter yourself and let your teacher approve and sign it, in case your teacher is new to the process or simply doesn’t have time…
