<p>hey guys,
as i told you earlier, i completed my +2 this year,i’m applyng for this fall, i’ve registered my SAT exams for oct 10. i need some help choosing my colleges.</p>

<p>1 i don’t knw how to convert marks into grades… and further into gpa… can sumone help me with tht??
2 if i some how know how to convert the marks into grads, i think it’ll besome what between 2.5-3… thts my guess…so… based on the above info could you guys suggest me colleges for my ED1, and safeties seperatey??
3 can u recommend me some novels tht i could read to encrase my SAT words vacab??</p>

<p>@highly_amitious: SAT I is certainly more important. Check out some of the earlier posts in this thread to get an idea of why I’m saying SAT I is more important.</p>

<p>Nobody can suggest the ED1 college for you without knowing about your transcripts, SAT, and SAT2 primarily.</p>

<p>And one thing, Dont even apply to these universities:

  1. Worchester Polytechnic University…Even if we get max aid, still we need to pay over 15k.
  2. U Chicago…no decent aid for internationals
  3. Rensselaer Polytechnic… if we get full tuition then also we shall be able to afford 15k per year.
  4. Vanderbilt…no decent aid for internationals
  5. Bowdoin college…applying there is foolishness
  6. St Lawrence University
  7. Union College…getting union is more difficult than getting Harvard in bachelors for internationals</p>

<p>well… i still haven’t given my SAT’s , i’ve registered my SAT I for OCT 10… and my high school marks need to be converted to grades which i have no idea to how i’ll do it. So i don’t know my GPA yet…i need help on tht too…
i’m not applying to ivey league… i’m applying to a good liberal arts college… and by good i mean colleges like trinity… i don’t think i’ll have a perfect GPA… so do you think i need to do my SAT II too??? just to cover up my GPA… ???
and if i do need to do my SAT II when should i register my test for??</p>

tyo combination ko barema chai ali ali affect garcha jasto lagcha…my brother did mention its effect a year back…kati liberal arts college le science subjects leko cha ki chaina ni hercha re.tara i dunn kno how authentic it is!!</p>

so you mean u need to show you’r majors as liberal arts subject… and not a science subject?? is tht so?? coz i was thinking i’ll apply to a Liberal arts college and show my majors as computer science with oter liberal arts subject. can’t i do tht??</p>
