Class of 2014 From Nepal

You can always send in supplemental material. All colleges allow that. What they don’t want you to do is send photocopies of every single certificate you’ve ever gotten. All that can go into the resume. A well-constructed portfolio is a great thing to send. Just make it small, concise and attractive. Choose things that are representative of you. Don’t just send everything that you have.

Hey by the way, the personal essay we send to colleges falls under the common application topic right (the general common app form, where you put personal info’s)?

Can we send some common app forms online and some via mail???

The personal essay falls under the common app. Some colleges require that if you send the main application online then you also send the supplement online. But if it doesn’t say anything specific then you can send the supplement by mail. Also, there are lots of colleges that waive the fee if you apply online. Saving paper, gotta protect the earth man.

I do understand the essence of applying online. It’s just that in the past, our seniors have complained that the school authorities do not fill those forms correctly (with blatant errors of student information).

Is it necessary that the forms be sent by school authorities themselves? Can’t we send them ourselves if we are applying online?

^^
no the official school forms have to be sent by the school official. When you apply online you just fill out your part of the application. The school’s part will be sent by school itself but of course we have to pay for the postal charges.

your mean mid year report, SSR and teacher evaluation forms of common app needs to sent by our school authorities whether you apply online or not?

And by the way, how will the adcoms know whether the document sent by the school authorities or by the student himself

My school put my high school transcript, SLC certificate, TOEFL scores, SAT scores, teacher recommendations etc all in one big envelope and sealed it with their stamp, and gave it to me. I put everything in a bigger envelope and couriered it. Easier for everyone.

And what about the SSR, evaluation forms, midyear report of common app, did they send it online or you did that yourself?

Nothing cares except sat composite ma 1400 + aayo bhane more than 80 % tensions are gone.but apply early ,(many colleges elite and safety ,mostly safety has full scholarship deadline on oct,nov for int’l stds )-so apply early.see college list from class of 2013 from nepal and apply .usnews.com ko top 125 sab college here hunchha greater chance.apply to middle level safety colleges too and apply with good essay.that’s all

Isn’t composite score= verbal score (of prev SAT) = (CR+WRITING)?

plz reply to #92 with reference to #91 and also 94#

composite is (CR(verbal)+maths) score…

92: You can’t send those forms online so they were in a sealed envelope from my school. I couriered it along with the rest of my application.

SO, here it goes, all those forms that have to be couriered has been mentioned in the previous posts. So which forms, besides these can be sent online separately?

How much of a rush is there for TOEFL iBT in Nepal during June-July-Aug-Sept time ? Is it hard to get seats as in the SAT’s during this time? Do we need to register way fast prior to the date to secure a seat?

Anyone help?

Hurray for the class of 2014 Nepal…

Ayn Rand are u a rato-bangali or +2 students?

I just can’t stand any rato-bangali’s …
