Class of 2014 - How Many Colleges Did YOU Apply To?

Just wondering. I apologize if there is a similar thread elsewhere....

Anyways, I applied to 30 schools.

Maybe not the smartest move, but I enjoyed it, my GC still talks to me :D, and it will always be a nice token from my CRAZY college search!!!!!

So, how about you? Anyone apply to more schools than ME?????

why would u spend so much time and money on college applications?

btw i applied to 11.

^Most were free using Common App :)

I applied to seven.

how were most of them free? you still had to send SAT scores and such which i believe cost $15 per school

^ $9 each.

I also took advantage of score reporting each time I took a test by sending new scores to different prospective schools, so I only ended up paying for about 16 reports.

9-12 seems perfectly reasonable for those applying to the most competitive schools. Above that, and you’re just adding unnecessary safeties, as well as extending yourself over so many essays that the quality can’t possibly be terribly high.

was gonna apply to 12, but then stopped at 6 because I got in my first choice XD

uhhhhh 12…

8, then just ended up applying to 3 bc I got into my first choice ED.

I applied to seven in America, one “real” school in England, and then four others in England because it was no more work, it was the same price as applying to one more, and I thought I had really low chances of being accepted at the one.

21…used lots of fee waivers.

lucky 7 for me.

15, including 3 without supplement essays and 4 UCs.
