***Class of 2014 NMSF Qualifying scores***

Does your corp fund the scholarships via NMSC? Normally NMSFs upload parent company info when they file the application for NMF and NMSC contacts the companies at that time.

Outstanding might be those meeting the Achievement cutoff.

Yes, our company fund the scholarship via NMSC. I did upload the information through our company (I beleive it was a NMSF site). That was in last February, and I called NMSF at that time, and they said my son is elgible for corporate scholarship.

i have a 221 in CA… fingers crossed… thanks in advanced to those who will be posting cutoff scores and what not

That’s a great question. When do you get notified of corporate scholarships. Son has a 215 in PA so on the bubble based on recent years but hopeful that at least the company one comes thru

Thursday night and no reports yet? Our district is closed on Fridays in the summer and then Monday is Labor Day…Ugh! Tuesday at the earliest here…

Just to vent: I wish they would just post the scores on the website. Not sure why all the secrecy. And for a lot of kids, this scholarship opportunity is huge. And I, too, am surprised there are no reports yet. Hopefully they will come rolling in tomorrow afternoon. Good luck to everyone!

After I agonized about not receiving a letter today, I realized that I had been thinking in terms of first class mail time. I am sure that the packages got sent USPS non profit mail or bulk rate mail. The USPS site lists typical mailing times for those as 4-8 days.

I’m sure that’s why we’ve not seen any posts. Odds are, if anyone (even homeschoolers) had gotten them today, someone would have posted. And with the Holiday it might take even longer. I’m betting we will hear next Tuesday at the very earliest.

Looking back at past years, packets are typically mailed on a Tuesday, reports start showing up here 3 days later on a Friday. This year they are out a little later, so with Monday being a holiday and Tuesday being the start of school (guidance may be too busy to deal with this) it may take a bit to get all the states updated, but we will definitely see a number of posters Friday and Saturday.

You lucky schools that start the Tuesday after Labor Day! We started almost two weeks ago!

Maybe a lot of schools like to make a big end-of-the-week announcement!

anyone else waiting with a 220 in ct?

Last year scores were mailed on Aug. 21. The first report of a score was Aug. 24. But there did not seem to be many reports until the following week.

So if we homeschool and we are going to get the “school” letter, will we still get it if our student didn’t make SF? Or would a school with no SFs just not get a letter. (Dd has a 209 in MI… not super hopeful, but I will post if we get anything.)

“they said my son is eligible for corporate scholarship”

I may be looking at semantics but eligible and awarded are not the same thing. I am not entirely certain how they announce the non-NMF scholarships.

My kid got a company scholarship which was announced in February or March just a week or two after the NMF list was announced. That is the common timeframe for NMSC to start announcing. However, like you, we knew it would be given but then it would need to be after NMFs were announced.

Any news yet? Anybody?

Suzysmom,

Nothing in the mail for us today. Hope no news is just no news. Maybe someone else in western Ohio will get notification and can share the cutoff with us.

:( I was hoping we’d know before the weekend.

I will definitely post about tomorrow’s mail.

Thanks!! :)
