Thought this might be useful, so future students can see where others are actively applying. Please list Non-Audition program acceptances, alphabetically and by program type. (user name not needed)

I think it would be most helpful to future users if we do a tally so future readers can see where most people applied. In other words, my daughter has several non-audition acceptances. When the first few people post to this thread, all my daughter’s non-audition acceptances will be listed by other posters. I think everyone should still list their child’s non-audition acceptance anyway (even if someone else already posted it). This way, future readers can see, say, 50 kids applied to such and such school, whereas only 2 applied to this other school. If we just list the schools, the school where one person applied carries the same weight as the one where 50 applied. Future readers would want to see the volume of students applying to the various non-audition schools so they can judge what we found to be the best programs for our child vs. maybe a future poster wsnts a “hidden gem” that very few applied to depending on their preference. So I think each person who wants to share this information should post away even if your child’s non-audition program is already listed.

Good idea, perhaps put the number in parentheses after the name of the school and update that number??? Just brainstorming so it doesn’t become unpostable after a while due to character count…

Thank you all for starting and contributing to this thread. Finding a non audition school for my D is an ongoing struggle, looking for any pointers.

I think this is a great addition to the lists! In my opinion, video auditions are auditions. Students submitting video auditions are competing for a limited number of spots, based on talent. They are probably also competing for those spots against some students who show up in person. An audition is an audition. Unless it is just for scholarship purposes.

I agree with mtmomagain - video audition schools should not be listed on this thread. I think future students will be looking for true non-audition schools from which to choose for purposes of this thread.
