oh, yes Vandy does have merit scholarships, but only given to top 2% candidates, and that also on the sponsor’s discretion :)

Still. It’s something. Haha, so it’s not IMPOSSIBLE. Kind of.

point is…don’t send them your financial aid application :)

Hahaha!

Vandy is too Deep South anyway.

Which basically means don’t apply there. Haha. Can’t afford it without aid. Oh, well.

Hmm, southern bias much? ;)

I kind of don’t want to go anywhere south of the Mason Dixon line. I don’t like the weather, and I might be a bit too liberal, being Dutch.

I admit! I am biased, but well… yeah.

I ain’t going to Nashville.

(Not that I am bashing the South, it’s just not really my… vibe I guess. I don’t like California either…)

Are you applying to Brown? (Haha, first thing I think of when I see the word liberal).

Broooooooooooooown :D

Ha! I was just discussing that with tetris, I never looked into Brown, I might though!
But I am not really sure about their economics department, and, another thing that I just thought of, I don’t really like the homogenity of their student body, I think it might be a bit TOO liberal. For me, coming from pretty much the most liberal country in the world, it’s more interesting to have some more diversity.

Hey Brown isn’t only liberal. Misconception. There have been a lot of threads about this topic on the Brown forum, do check them out :).

Knee-jerk reaction, that liberal thing. Brown is one of those amazing schools that’s whatever you want it to be.

You nailed it :D

I seriously can’t believe some of you guys even consider factors like weather…lol…I don’t even know if I’m gonna get my preferred uni,I can’t further restrict my chances due to stuff like weather!:)

I don’t think any int’l with >80% need should be considering weather :D

Which is your top choice, again?

If you are asking me…UPenn :D

So anyone actually live in the US?

Penn huh? Not MIT or Stanford, like for most Indian engineers? ;)
