Class of 2014!

I grew up in the US. In California, also where I want to go back. Now I’m back in Germany where I was born.

@ tetrisfan: I will check Brown out then! Are they generous with aid, or more on a level
comparable with, say, uPenn (I know they give aid, but it’s hard to get it)?

@ Smartchap/Flibb: You guys too have favourite universities, and thats not entirely based on just academics I presume. For me, I want to go to a school at the east coast. I am not just going to apply to every school that is known to offer aid, even if I don’t really like the feel of the school (weather is just a small factor). For me, it might be a bit easier though, because I have a lot of opportunities at home, and have quite a good chance of getting admitted to some UK schools.

Brown is at UPenn’s level…not particularly generous with aid (ie. they don’t dole it out to too many internationals).

I’m applying to UK schools, of course, but if I had to choose between, say, Williams and Cambridge, I would pick Williams in a heartbeat. The American universities just appeal to me more.

…Cambridge is still pretty sweet though.

Stupid A levels. I can’t apply to Oxbridge because I lack them.

That sucks!

I don’t know… I think Oxford is my fifth in order of preference (after Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Columbia)… But actually, I love all the schools on my list. I’d die if I had the chance to go to, say, LSE!

Looking at your favourites, I suppose you’d like UPenn as well?

Heh, the grass is always greener on the other side. I’m not too fussed about LSE.

Yeah, I guess I like uPenn, I love the Huntsman programme! But I also love the idea of a liberal arts education, and Wharton (for business) might be a bit to narrow for me, whereas Penn CAS Economics is a lot less good than Wharton, but does offer a broad education… So I am still contemplating which programme to apply to! But Penn seems really cool!

I think I am going on a big college visit tour though, to see how the schools are really like! Oh oh oh, Can;t wait…

I’m such a procrastinator btw, kick me of CC asap! I have to self-study 6 (!!!) APs

^I spend way too much time on CC as well. Let’s make a deal - I’ll promise to spend a lot more time working if you will :).

Deal for sure! Haha

-shakes your hand- And now, with that said, off I go to tot up my application fees! :)

…and THIS is why I decided to take no APs this yaer ;)

You guys have APs? How? Tetris aren’t you in ISC? At our school we have one level for every subject and I was under the impression that everyone doing ISC did.

You can still take APs separately. I’m in ISC too, but taking APs from a school far far down south :P

@Quasi: I self-studied one AP last year and took it at the international school here.

@gary: Are you coming down here? Yes you are :)

Yeah, Hyderabad :stuck_out_tongue: All I know about Hyd is the Hyderabadi Chicken on Aryon’s menu :D

I’m self-studying six APs

how is everybody gonna pay their application fees? since we have to pay from a us bank account

^ Wait, what?
