Class of 2015 EDer extravaganza!

I’m hoping all of you enthusiastic prospective OWLS are accepted into Rice. Waiting is hard for your parents, too, since we know you want this so bad. So be kind and let your folks know just as soon as you do!!!

Will they email the results or will it be posted on ESTHER?
And where in ESTHER will it be posted?
Would it be under >Requirements>Application Status?

EEK! Good luck to everyone!!! Wish y’all the best!

carrie D - Yes you are correct.

Good luck

Good luck everybody! I didn’t get matched with Rice for Questbridge, but I’m applying RD. Rice is definitely my first choice… hope we can all be together at Rice next fall! :D

decisions are out!

ACCEPTED!!! so happy!!! :DDDD ahhhh!

The result has just Posted.

before I celebrate–
if it says “Application Status: Admit”
I’M IN, RIGHT?? :)

This makes me happy.

What do I do now… do I pay? So confus

deferred.
what was your result, caltech1?

deferred. :frowning: this sucks, this is my dream school…

does anyone know what percentage of the people who are deferred to regular decision at rice actually make it in?

Do they give you your financial aid package today as well?

I believe they give you an approximate. You get your actual aid later after you file you tax returns etc.

What were ur stats guys?

i’m with petey here. i really want to know the percentages of accept, defer, and deny.

Is that information coming in the mail or on esther? Good luck we are so happy!!!1

It is my friend who was accepted.

hahaha, I guess 0 bowls of rice will be eaten tonight.
sypde24, I too got deferred. I’d be afraid if I were a RD’er, because us two are now on thier turf. Anyone know if a deferee has a significant advantage over an RD’er?

Being deferred means you are evaluated with the rest of the group in RD. You can get an added advantage of ‘showing interest’ through. But that will be an added factor to the application, and probably won’t make a huge difference

kwally, yep it’s us and petey
make sure you email your admissions counselor asking for ways to up your chances
i did so

Admission’s counselor? Like my school counselor? I’ll do that now. I’m also emailing my RICE Alumni for ideas. hahaha, April 1st is gonna be a good day because us 3 will be accepted. I’ll message you my personal ideas on how to up our applications. A RD’er isn’t gonna take my spot :)
