i found out from a friend that the conversion table i posted earlier was actually true! He said that the conversion will be possible if only signed and verified by a guidance counsellor. i dont know whether this is legit or not, but i’d definitely heave a sign of relief if it turned out to be true!

@pinkfloyd4life
who said that?? if its so…then i might even try it…

^^guys, actually its possible if your GC signs the thing! But take care that all the student applying from your college follow the same procedure for that very college where you want to do this thing. But the best thing is sending them whatever you have it will be really fine coz they do all those calculations over there, even if it has been already calculated!

@prasadian Well, a particular person didn’t say that. I’ve been hearing them from a long time, but had no knowledge if it was legit. But i recently found out that if signed or verified by a GC, the conversion becomes valid.

@confidential Well, at least it helps even if we get a low % for the +2ers. And as for the a-levels counterpart, you guys already have GPA’s right?

Yeah, just send them the transcript. They’ll do their calculations with the % thing. you dont have to worry about that.

Nah man…it depends upon where you are studying…I dont think my school would calculate a GPA. They suggest to send the grades directly and all the calculations for those people in the admission committee…

About GPA as far as I know you don’t need to worry much. The percentage system is found all over the South Asia (I guess) and every colleges can make its comparison of in its own way!!!

Most of those who do percentage conversion to GPA do it from World Education System(which is the most wisely used and charges about 100$) get 4 out of 4 for distinction(75%) or so. I don’t think it is worth paying unless one is applying to the colleges that really require it and Most of they don’t.

hii guys where have all vanished? i know +2ers r bg with their xmas but wat about others???

ok, since the +2 exams have been lost into oblivion; i guess we should get this thread up and running again. The country seems to be in deep shiit; and so are the students, especially the +2ers. i myself am in total affliction regarding the fact that after 2 hours of scribbling on the answer sheet of what i call ‘my best physics exam…YET’. i had to come home with the answer sheet itself! so, i’ve decided to start studying for the SATs instead of the HSEB exams. btw anybody know of the subject test dates in july?

@pinkfloyd4life
dude !!! i was lucky not to have ripped apart my sheet…luckily my xam went unaffected even though it lies in main road of pulchowk…
im also thinking of taking sat2s in july …but gonna check that lil after the xams …

‘my best physics exam…YET’…LOL…don’t bask in narcissism…cause that will be your downfall!!!;P

^^ I doubt that there’s even a tiniest bit of narcissism in it dude…considering the fact that i scored wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy less in it the previous year than this.

@prasadian where was your center? Mine was at Pashupati Multiple campus @ mitrapark. gave the exam for 2 hours then the teachers came in and told us to scram!

@pinkfloyd4life
mine was at shahid samrak…all the riots continued but all went well…

^ so do you have to give the exam again?

no…just the three papers for me…

thats great! i have to give all them 4 exams. cant wait for the thing to finish

i’ve to take 5 exams. computer science too…non credit though…

^ bro u dont even need to take the exams. chill out!

no, i have to man…i must graduate high school before going to college.

bummer! but at least you can just graduate, we have to score high too
