@here123
thats what I and rockeroncc did. We too had the same problem and had to create a new one actually.
Now guys common concentrate on college please. I searched three colleges that are really generous. Thanks to skox.

@Chandalsaitan I know who you are. Haha Chandal

So we are supposed to just tell how many college we got but not share the names.

To the admin
Sorry for my post in Nepali which was deleted.

hey hey hey
this is a reminder and a request to you all.
CC is solely a platform for college related things. So please, if possible, let us not waste our post just discussing those useless(less useful) things.
Don’t take it the other way, its just a request.
I hope you all understand what I mean.
Thank you.

@Chandalsaitan’s #581
which 3 colz ?

^^
as skox said, I went for the historically black colleges and found 3 of them a fit for me. So they are,probably, my safeties. I qualify for full ride myan.

another 2015er in the line…

^^
If what I heard is true then forget everything. we together are gonna make it. Moreover that univ was not good for you. You deserve a lot more better than that. So watever happens happens for the good.
Chill man.

^^We together are gonna make it.I am there as well.

Let’s make it.

^^^ DOn’t know what to do.

@chedva…sorry for the post in Nepali…
@all…got an infraction for the post in Nepali :-(

^^Guys, are you taking black unis seriously?? I mean dont u care about the type of environment in there?? i dont mean that they are bad but i am not sure how the environment will be like in there…by environment, i mean…culture, racial issues and etc…etc…anyone who knows abt these things? Plz…do reply

@confidential2015
ok about the racial issue its 1 out of 100 times thing. So very minimal chance of that. And the environment thing is that its the same if we go to a white or a black univ because both are new to us moreover in a black univ also 20 out of 100 are non-black too. so it doesn’t matter. So the choice is upon you. Do more research if needed.

^^thanks dude…actually i knew that they were very cheap when compared with others but never thought of applying to any of them…let me do some research…

hey 15ers…if anyone’s interested in an editorial internship at Himal Southasian magazine(will look great on your resume :slight_smile: AND they pay u) they’ve got a vacancy. application due in 2 weeks. please PM me if interested. also, here’s the link [Himal Southasian/Resources](http://himalmag.com/pg=resources)

hey! all …wanted to know abt ACT? What is it actually? and is it compulsory as SAT and TOEFL while applying to the Us colleges?

^^
No its not a compulsory. Whatever applies for SATI its the same. I am giving ACT. It just replaces SATI thats it nothing more than that. And who said that SAT is compulsory? Its not a compulsory but an addition to your scholarship chances. Just for admission you need not give SAT or ACT.

^^SAT I= ACT, so choose any one of them…and yes, all those (SAT &TOEFL or ACT & TOEFL) testings are compulsory for admission in most of the cases. In some universities, they might ask testing only for scholarships. Don’t take any other option, for internationals it is almost compulsory so just register and take the tests. TOEFL can be waived under some circumstances by some universities.

SAT is never a compulsion unless its a top notch university. (Correct me if I am wrong) But as far as I researched I found out that for international students SAT/ACT is never a compulsion for those average university. And yes TOEFL can be waived. I had it waived but you need to show some outstanding English numbers. I had those and so the uni waived it. Lucky me.
