Class of 2015 from Nepal

@sarb…agree with ya bro!

@cheche: check out sarah lawrence college(only for great writers!) No SAT, Northeast… though not ranked in the first 50s…it is really a great college!
I guess sarbaraj was accepted there…weren’t you bro?

^^
Thanks, i will also look onto it even though I might not be that good writer but what goes in giving it a try.
@sarbaraj
I didn’t mean to generalize and compare those two institutions, its just how I feel and what i have seen, nothing more than that and i didn’t mean to be rude. Sry if I said sth wrong.

@sarbaraj : Nothing personal mate. I am sure you were witness to a discussion last year between students from RBS and BNKS about which schoolwas better. BNKS people were claiming RBS students to be pozers who were not good for anything except gp and RBS people were criticizing them of having pathetic english and prasing thier IVY acceptances every single year. That kind of shows the arrogance that few people have developed and in most cases the ones who get admitted arent the ones with the arrogance.
on a different note though, I had seriously thought you would get admitted to Grinnell, you had amazing stats even for Grinnell

@cheche
I guess Bates and Bowdoin too but not sure if they are in the Northeast or not.!!!

nw guys lets not get carried away of our emotions…we already have spoken enough :wink:
@cheche
dickinson as well…NE?idk…
but u should send SAT coz they’ll ALWAY chase after the guys with high SAT scores…
they wont mandatory it but they wont say no to it either…

guys #1127??

1127,

honors? you mean after going to a college???
if you get very good marks/grades/anything like that during the first two years you will get into dean’s list. And after getting into dean’s list…your door will be open for honors program. The best of the bests get chance to get into honors programs!
Good Luck!

@ cheche
connecticut college has an optional SAT I requirement and it kinda falls in the northeast

Thanks guys for, I will look out for them. My SATs are most probably going to be the weakest point. Thats why i was thinking of the alternatives.

@here123
yeah I guess… I got waitlisted there…
From what I’ve heard, unless us internationals have our final results, getting in is quite difficult. Lets see what happens this year :p

@cheche…many of the colleges listed above require SAT either for this or that thing…they want SAT from you this way or that way…but Sarah Lawrence is probably the only college in the US which does not consider SAT scores for any kind of aid/scholarships etc…But, as I told before…it is a writing college…you need to have very good skills of writing if you wanna attend SLC…good luck!

@sarbaraj : I am sure you will get to better places this year than Grinnell. Best of luck for that :)

@all : Have any of you heard or have a book named "Up Your Score: The Underground Guide To The SAT (2009-2010) " If someone could tell me where to buy it Nepal ?? A friend of a friend of mine needs it. He told me its great with a different approach

@sarbaraj:: giving a try to Grinnell once again? I think you must give a try again bro…you deserve Grinnell… Ah…ha trying to avoid loans? Is it so?

I guess many guys from BNKS of your batch went either to state universities or to India…what happened at RBS? Is everyone still hanging around here or they went to India?

@here123

I had a photocopy, but I lost it :P

The approach… well… get grammatix… it’s like that one :p

Anyone thinking of EDying Swarthmore?

^^^ Before Ah…ha there was something like this: Why did u leave Jacobs…it was not in english and the moderator changed it…

Heard a lot of discussions about BNKS and RBS and couldnot stop myself from speaking… guys u are being so generalized man…this is similar like a guy saying he will burn Kuran in 9/11 saying all the muslims are not humans… how can u assume all the BNKS ( and RBS) guys are arrogant. i completely agree with Sarbaraj101 in this respect. Yes we do have GCs but they are not there to distribute us college placements selecting from basket… they can just say previous data and nothing much… you have to do everything yourself… i have spent a year researching on colleges and at last i got rejection from 8 colleges last year… where was my GC when i got rejections… i mean being at BNKS and RBS you donot assure yourself college placements… you have to toil as much as being from other colleges…
and i am daily there at USEF… and it has been about 1 and half year that i have been visiting usef regularly… if gcs would do everything i would have slept in my room instead of going there… its a wonderful source of information guys…donot expect that we can get those things from GC and others from BNKS and RBS… we all are same and if ur application contains the real thing college wants i mean holistically everything … u are there so it doesnot make much difference whether u are from BNKS or RBS or other institutions…

ANd yes if u think BNKS guys are arrogant to college admissions, come and meet me… and then you will see how much problem are we facing…

best of luck guys for ur college admissions…

^ I just hope this year, we’ll have a smooth class of 2015 discussion with no flaming.

I take upon myself to report any flame wars in this thread to our dear moderator, Chedva :p

@here123

I didn’t even apply to JUB last year… lol…
3333 was accepted there. Not me :p

Sep9>>Oct9 guys, how’s ur preparation going on??SAT’s only a few miles away…approaching…

SAt’s ruinin’ my life!!!
every time i try to solve the passage-based question…i get all of them go wrong ;-(
pretty depressin’!!!
