**Class of 2015 University of Chicago Admissions Decisions Discussion**

It could be a blood bath, just like Columbia…

Work for finals, when you are done with those chill out. At this point even if the adcoms have not already determined your fate, there is nothing you can do to influence your app.

I have ski team practice on the 15th from 5 till 8 and I wont be home till 8:30… Ahhhhh this is going to kill me lol At least I wont have to sit at my computer and freak out while the emails get sent and decisions get put on line. Judging from the decisions thread from last year it looked quite stressful!

College Board has the date listed as 12/20 for UChicago’s deadline.

With the application inflation last year left Chicago’s hands tied in RD, I would not be surprised to a ton of deferrals and not many acceptances…

i don’t trust college board lol…
and i’d be lucky if i even get deferred.

does anyone know about how many people applied early to Chicago this year?
What is the possible acceptance ratee?

I am so nervous… T.T

^ It’s a record year for EA. If assuming that they r going to take in the same number of ppl for EA, the acceptance rate should hover around 20% for EA, and the low 10% for RD.

blahhh i’m so nervous!

Ironic, isn’t it? The increased popularity of UChicago is so good for them and so (potentially) horrible for us …

with a record 8 ivy acceptances at my school already, i’m crying in anticipation of finding out… if it’s not the 15th i will freak out ._.

i am bracing for the rejection letter :D

Anyone else finding it a little hard to concentrate with this decision looming over our heads?

Seriously! And I know I shouldn’t be, since I can’t do anything about it anyways! :P

3 days to go…

It’s a little disorienting, to think our chances, us, who hang around CC all day for the love of Chicago, are diminished by all of these external factors, not to mention applicants who might not otherwise have applied. I’m not feeling very elated at all, nor optimistic.

@Impero I know how you feel… It’s really too bad they can’t see everything we post on here. I’ll just be happy if I don’t get a rejection…

Nothing like being stuck at home all day from a snow day with nothing to do and no where to go to let my anxiety ravage me…

At times such as these, when tensions are high and minds under stress, I would recommend Lucretius’ Epicurean classic, “Of the Nature of Things,” to soothe those self-made pains.

Good stuff, good stuff. I read this in my Humanities class earlier this year. Epicureanism is something I can really geek out over haha

Good luck from a current student! U of C is amazing :D.
