"But does it mean that people who got 7pm EDT can get in at 5pm EDT? "

cant stop people from checking but all it means is that people are messing up the system when they were already told it won’t be available for them.

As other people have said, this isn’t anything new. People speculated about it last year as well, and it turned out to be randomly assigned as far as we could tell. It’s just to avoid the problem of everyone trying to sign in at once. As a current Brown student, I can tell you that online registration nearly always crashes at the beginning of the semester when everyone tries to register for classes at 8 am. It’s the same thing here.

seems like “AM/PM” would be an easy distinction to make in an email. Pretty lazy if you ask me… maybe I don’t want my D to go anymore :p

That would be amazing if it would be AM. 12 fewer hours of waiting…

I’m guessing that the closer you are to Providence, the earlier your time. That seems to be the way Northeastern rolls out decisions.

^hahah doubt it I’m an international student and I got 5 EDT, but I agree with bruno14 it is strategic on Brown’s part to give different times so that there are no problems when logging on. I mean if everyone had 5pm then 25000+ students would be logging on at that time, thus slowing down the servers.

I’m from Michigan. 6 EDT

Mine said NO SOONER than 6:00 EDT so don’t think you can check it earlier.

The decisions will be available no sooner, but that doesn’t mean you can’t log into your account. You can get in, you just won’t see anything.

I got 5 pm and I’m in CT.

But I know I’m accepted, so I guess I dont help to extinguish the theory of “accepted students are notified first”.

^ 0.0 oh no…no…NO no more crackpot theories people its only 7 more days left lol

I have no theories.

Since people were talking about Asians and discrimination a couple pages back, I have a question about that. I am half Indian, so how will they treat me? After all, multiracial people are generally the second-smallest minorities in colleges, but I don’t know if they’ll see it that way or if they will look at me strictly as an Asian or as a Caucasian or what.

I justread my email and they told me 6 pm … I’m in Florida

Mine says no sooner than 7:00 EDT and I am in CA so I guess that is 4 pm my time.

Mine said no sooner than 5:00 EDT, I am from Puerto Rico.

6 PM here and I’m from Florida. It definitely seems to be by time zone.

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC

^ yup! I’m in fl too! and mines at 6 aswell!

My friend and I are from the same school, but hers is at 6 and mine is at 5. So…

^now that’s just too odd -_^
