Mine is not TOO crazy, considering the fact that we can’t take APs as sophomores.

AC Geometry Honors
Chemistry Honors
Driver’s Ed (Required)
Physical Education (Required)
English II Honors
Personal Finance
Spanish II
Speech (Required)
AC Trigonometry Honors
Physics Honors

What do you guys think of it? Last year, I wasn’t taking as many honors classes (I only took one- Honors Biology) and I got an A in it both semesters. I want to make my schedule as advanced as I can, and I think this is as good as it can get.

Mine is boring. The real fun starts with IB.
H Precalc
AP Stat
AP US Gov’t (some idiot in the BOE decided that sophomores shouldn’t take AP World anymore)
AP US Gov’t Seminar (required but weighted as a standard class)
H Economics (required; it’s either this or H Constitutional History & Law)
H English
H Chem
H French 3
Health (required)
Tech B (required)
It kind of sucks that we can’t take too many APs until we’re upperclassmen.
How are you guys taking IB classes as sophomores?! At my school, even if somebody had already fulfilled the prerequisites for IB Math HL 1 (just an example), they would be forced to take the AP equivalent (AB Calc) because we can only take IB classes as juniors and seniors. I thought this was universal…I guess not.

Before I start, all of you guys are fine and are likely the highest you can do, I come from a school that restricts AP stuff, but I fought back, used loopholes in the requirements and proved I was able to learn at the same rate as others, even if they were older than me

Anyway, my new schedule, because the scheduling in my school is always weird:

AP/UConn Physics B
AP Stats
AP/UConn European History
UConn Economics [Macro and Micro, full year]
Pre-AP US History [Pre-req for APUSH, half year]

Ancient World History
[I need to do one of these non-honors electives to go with the Pre-AP, this was the only one that fit my schedule]

Honors Precalculus
Honors English 10
Spanish III

I am a rising soph (duh) and I go to Urbana has in MD

It seems pretty difficult to take so many Ap’s as a sophomore(but that’s awesome)… My school doesn’t let us take Ap’s until junior year. Plus, there are only about 7 or 8 schools in Hawaii that offer A.P. classes…my school is one of them.

I’ve changed my schedule. It now goes like this
AP World History
Biology Acc.
Piano 3-8
English 3-4 Acc.
Algebra 2/Trig
Japanese 5-6 Honors
Team Badminton JV

Honors English II
Honors College Algebra
Chemistry
AP US Government
Spanish III
Student Council (yes, it’s a class at my school which is mildly annoying)
And then two semesters of an art elective, hopefully photography and jewelry if I got what I wanted
Study Hall

The only AP class my school offers is WHAP, which I’m taking.
Algebra II Honors
English 10 H
Chemistry H
World History AP
Spanish III H
Advanced Art I H
CAD (just for some computer cred.)

I heard the art class (which has a prerequesite that I took this year) is pretty equivalent to a college class. It’s a full cred. Even my art class this year had really tight deadlines, which I’d have to stay after school to keep up with. That along with two sports and the yearbook club, WHAP, and the extra competitions my art teacher likes to enter me in makes me worry. But apparently I’m slacking.

Also, I think a lot of schools take Bio as freshmen. We took an intro to Physics class.

Question: I want to drop Spanish junior year for an extra science class (human anatomy?). I’m already a year or two ahead in my language and I’d meet the requirement, but I heard good colleges like if you take it all four years. That would mean dropping my art, but I feel like that’s one of the few hobbies/EQ’s I’m really good at.

What would happen if you had Spanish 2 hnrs and AP ushistory but you could only pick one? These two classes don’t work together in my sched so I can only chose one… Which one?

AP World History
English 10 HN
Algebra II HN
Chemistry HN
Spanish 3 (no honors offered)
AP Human Geography
Sports and Entertainment Marketing. trying to make my counselor let me take AP Environmental Science as an 8th class.
