basically. omg 5 days can’t handle thisssss.

AAAH my boyfriend just got into Columbia and I’m super happy for him but now I’m freaking out even more!

@noAPnoproblem congratulations! that is so awesome. i really don’t like columbia’s curriculum but i would give anything to go to college in NYC (although i’d go broke in less than a week). i’m freaking out even more too. monday’s gonna be bad.

(i don’t really know why i said congratulations but tell your boyfriend congratulations i guess haha)

Haha I got it Yeah, the requirements are the main reason I didn’t even plan on applying. Gotta have that Vassar open curriculum…

SO CLOSE. I’m now completely freaked about getting rejected. It would be so nice to not have to care about high school as much(I’m REALLY ready to move on) and to be able to enjoy vacation…ahhhhh!!!

My biggest fear is getting deferred.

And yes, harry9, I feel like I’ve been so obsessed with getting into college that lately I’ve become this 1-dimensional person who only talks about college, and I’m sure my friends are getting tired of “hey, how are you?” “FOUR DAYS UNTIL I HEAR ABOUT VASSAR.” I just wanna get into college so I can move on with my life and get some new, non-college-related hobbies. Like baking cookies or practicing glockenspiel. And watching How I Met Your Mother. And SLEEPING SOMETIMES.

My friends have actually started beginning our conversations with, “How many days?” just to get that out of the way so we can actually talk, ahaha.

This is going to be the longest weekend in the history of weekends

oh my, 4-5 pm in the US is 4-5 am here in my country. well, sleepless night.

I just want to know now, my friends who decided to go IVY all all hearing about now, and im so jealous. I agree, this is the longest weekend ever, my dad and I are doing christmas stuff, like getting the Christmas tree and decorating the house. At least lll have something else on my mind

im in china, no sleep on dec 10 since the result will come out before 6 AM …

my best friend got deferred from Dartmouth and she’s the first one to receive the result in our class, which makes today rather upsetting

@ennrui I know that feel, hahah. coffee ftw.

Monday will be the longest day :/

I am absolutely freaking out at this point. I have so much work to do this weekend, all due on Monday, but all I can think about is the notification. I don’t know how I am going to get anything done.

SO MANY FEARS!–the biggest one being that I won’t be able to go to this perfect, amazing school. Also letting my teachers and co-workers who wrote my recommendations know that I did not get in will suck.

Monday afternoon cannot come fast enough.

Good luck everyone!!
I am sure they have triple-checked so they don’t have a computer glitch like last year!

Thanks!
What are everyone’s stats like compared to the accepted students profile from last year?

SAT Breakdown (superscore, two sittings) CR: 800, W: 670 (essay 9) M: 690 total: 2150
No class rank
Private School (Jewish-so religious?)
92.7 unweighted GPA
Massachusetts

White

my GPA and SATs are higher so hopefully that’s a good sign! although my school’s GPA system is really weird (we have a “4.2 weighted scale”) so who knows haha but overall i fit the profile pretty well i think
my SATs were CR: 800 W: 770 M: 730 (composite 2300)

Wow Calvin you have amazing SATs! I wouldn’t be worried if I were you.

I have a 32 ACT and 2180 SAT (720CR 770W 690M). I tried recalculating my GPA on the normal scale cause my school does it strangely and I have a 3.857
