Class of 2018 ( From Nepal )

@skeleton394: GPA always matters for top notch colleges. Top notch colleges have the option of selecting among the best, so if your GPA is low, you will have to compensate with blindingly great ECs and Essays.

Did anyone get into Cornell College, IA ?

hello guys , can you help me out?
One of the colleges where I am applying asks financial documents be sent by post mail. Can Nepal’s post offices be trusted? If I go for DHL or FEDEX then how much it can cost me ?

When i send documents through DHL i paid around NRP3100 last month. They give 50% off when you send your documents in university address.I do not have any idea about FEDEX. Hope this helped you.

FEDEX costs around 3000-3300, and I have no idea about discounts. If you are encountering financial problem then you may use General post office EMS service. It is bit cheaper, and the documents will reach in a week time. The website says it is 1350 for US, but it may cost a bit more. You can go to the office at Sundhara, and there is a separate department for EMS service.

@asantusta
I was placed on the financial waiting list and I’ve already sent a new ISFAA and ISCOF.

anyone accepted at Colorado College?

WUSTL, Caltech, Duke and MIT rd result is out. Who all selected from Nepal- any idea?

If colleges say their decisions are released on April 1, do we receive the decision on our April 2?

I think you will receive between 9pm - morning of april 2. That was the case of mine.

Anyone accepted/ wait listed by Gettysburg in RD ?

Got waitlisted by Gettysburg!!

In past years the waitlist from Gettysburg has not been a good option. Most years they take nobody from the waitlist. You may want to try and contact the admissions office and see if you can get any kind of reading from them as to the chance you will be selected off the list… Best of luck to you!

Did anyone get into Colby ? The portal seems to have crashed down. Is the same case with you ?

The decision was out yesterday evening. As an aid seeking international, It’s really tough to get into Colby in RD or even in ED II. I don’t think anyone from Nepal got in. Usually, they waitlist almost all the competitive international applicants. I think it would be wise not to stay on their waiting list as last year the number of admitted students from the waiting list was in a single digit. I don’t think even a single one of them was an international asking for FA.

Yeah, I was also rejected from Colby and Bates.

I applied to Gettysburg but I am waitlisted!!!
:((((((
nO EXPECTATIONS FROM THIS COLLEGE AT ALL

I’m waitlisted at Bates…didn’t send my TOEFL scores or any standardized test scores. I see no chance of acceptance now but I’m going to try my best to impress the officers. I’ve read that the number of applicants they accept from the waitlist at Bates has ranged from 0 to whopping 71. Whatever, I’ve decided for a gap year…anybody else? :-)
