Class of 2019 Boston College Early Action

i just got rejected ok im a hopeless cause yay

Can those with decisions post stats and what schools they applied to(CSOM,CAS,etc.)? Congrats to everyone who got in & good luck to those with deferrals!

@rainydayzzzz hang in there. If you thought you had a chance at getting into BC then you must be a qualified applicant and I’m sure many other schools will want you. Besides, one third of the applicants got rejected EA, so don’t feel too bad. Was BC your #1?

@rainydayzzzz‌ were your stats in BC’s average? And don’t worry, you will go to a school you will love!

i am top 15% of my class, 30 ACT, 770 math subject test II, leadership is speech and debate and founded my ownlgnauge club, my main hook was doing wrk with kids with special needs and i had a letter ( alumni conncetion ) ia pplied to CSOM, i undesrtand that the surge of applicants whent up a ton , but i tohught i would get deffered

@rainydayzzz by the sound of it, you would be a great fit for most any school; I’m sure you will get other offers. Keep your head up.

thanks guys, i got into babson, case western and IU kelley school but i think i would’ve much rather gone to BC…but i guess admissions are just a ton harder b/c my scores and another girl’s gpas were higher than the ones listed on naviance and we both got rejected

@rainydayzzzz‌ Stay positive and focused. Good luck.

@rainydayzzzz‌ how did you find out? through mail? and where do you live becuase i thought no one would get letters today

1 hour north of BC, in MA!

Congrats to new admits, and to all others–you are such a fantastic group of people no matter what and all that jazz
Also happy new year!

Deferral for daughter in MA. 4.2 GPA, 32 ACT, excellent recommendations and activities, not Catholic (but I don’t think that’s why).

what school did she apply to?
best of luck for RD @redpoodles

CAS in one of the sciences. Thanks! Good luck to everybody!

@rainydayzzzz what was your GPA? It sounds like you should have been guaranteed deferral at the very LEAST.

Hi y’all!! I know that you guys are probably waiting nervously for your decisions but I wish you guys good luck!! I got rejected from my dream school a couple of days ago and was really heart broken but I looked on the bright side and I’m glad that I have a chance to apply to some other amazing colleges out there- like Boston College  I applying regular decision and I was wondering if you guys have any advice or information that you would like to share with me on essays and basically anything. I would appreciate it and GOOD Luck!!

I am freaking out waiting for the mail to the point where I’m losing sleep. I live 45 mins away from Boston. I have a 3.9 UW GPA, 1900 SAT, 28 ACT, I am a part of 5 honors societies, many activities, and I have a family legacy. What do you guys think my chances are?

we are in the same boat @chill12 test scores seem to be the only thing holding us back
but good luck my son

I am also in the same boat! 29 act, 3.7 UW gpa, letter of rec from my school principal who is a BC alum… Super nervous!

i am literally dying from the wait. I live in westchester ny. I don’t think i’m gonna get in :frowning: have a 3.5 uw and w gpa (at a very competitive public hs- like top 10 in the country) with a 720 math, 660 reading, 770 writing (2150 composite). Ok extracurricular- not a lot of leadership but very diverse and well rounded. Great reccs, one from a vice principal who knows me well, and good essays. Do you think I’ll get in? or at least deferred? BC is my number one choice!!!
