3.7UW GPA, 4.16 W - I took the hardest courseload available except for H calc instead of AP
VP of student body, co-editor of newspaper, varsity field hockey and softball all 4 years, captain for both senior year, NHS, SADD, other stuff…</p>
<p>@collegebound62 The only sought information for deferred students is the Mid-Year Report; it is important the student reminds their guidance counselor to send this, though many usually do. We don’t ask for any additional recommendations, writing samples, or awards.</p>

<p>If the portal shows the new tabs, it definitely means you’re in. I clicked on the deny admission tab just to see what it says, and it asks why you are denying your offer of admission.</p>

I think my essays were generally very good (supplemental subject may have been iffy, but still well-written)
Recs were great
ECs by far the best part of my application. Tons of leadership in really good activities, plus I started an organization to work towards breaking down cultural barriers through letter writing and exchange in 5 different countries and I also started my own equestrian “business”, working 9 hrs/week during the school year.</p>
<p>My stats seem a bit low compared to everyone else, but that just goes to show the beauty of a holistic approach!

<p>@collegebound62 Anything in the file will be used in consideration, but to be honest, additional recommendations or awards that simply echo what was already part of your file (which includes the Activities List and 3 recommendations already) almost always tend to add quantity without quality.</p>
