It’s just a link to the portal itself. It’s the same as it has been all season. Don’t stress over the link. It’s too minute, and I’m sure they won’t leave clues in the URL.

yah ur right, but every thread like this MUST go through a conspiracy stage.

Vanderbilt’s financial aid policy (regarding non-custodials) is like my last chance, so tomorrow actually matters. This is scary. It’s even scarier because I meet all of their little criteria things on their admissions blog, I did the scholarships, the interview, and I met the admissions rep when they visited my school. But at least I did everything I could!

Oh my god those stats are so high!!! Definitely don’t have a chance…

Last year’s admit rate was 13.1%. This year it’s 9.5%. That’s down 3.6%, which is kind of a lot. I wouldn’t be surprised if a few years down the road, their admission rate becomes lower than Stanford’s (the lowest last year). As it is, it is lower than the admit percentage of some Ivies. Oh well…

Good luck everybody!

@InfinityMan‌ nope the 9.5% is the acceptance rate for RD applicants only, it doesn’t take into account those who applied early. Last year’s RD acceptance rate was 11% but they had around 2,000 less applicants and accepted a couple hundred more during RD. I am guessing they admitted more during ED this year and the total acceptance rate should come closer to 13.1%, maybe slightly lower.

@homeless2Harvard I didn’t know that, sorry. But that doesn’change the fact that in '99 and early 2000’s, they had a * 60% acceptance rate *.

I would bet on the slightly lower rate, by the way.

It doesn’t matter anyways. Restating this now just makes me sound bitter now lol

Less then 24 hours guys! This is super exciting even though I’m basically waiting for rejection lol
After being waitlisted from UChicago I definitely know I’m not going to receive an acceptance here

Wait! I was waitlisted at UChicago too! does that mean I won’t have a chance as well? Noooooo!!!

@keivnsom‌ I don’t know, I just don’t have a lot of hope because UChicago was my number one choice and I showed a lot more interest there compared to Vanderbilt and worked alot harder on that app but you’ll still probably be okay!

In general, how would Vanderbilt’s admission compare against Rice, Northwestern, and UChicago? Did anyone else apply to these schools?

I also applied to Rice!

@keivnsom‌ I applied to Rice, and VU. Do you mean admission statisctics? I think that Vanderbilt, Rice, and Northwestern would be around the same and UChicago harder to get into imo

What do you guys think admissions wise in terms of Duke and Vanderbilt. I just got a likely letter from Duke and I wouldn’t be able to stay sane through so many high stress admissions decisions without Duke in my back pocket.

I literally have no clue how you guys are doing this right now. :o

Could the decisions come out before tomorrow? I saw something about how ED was a day early this year.

I am freaking out!!
