class of 2019

@AltoLime‌ how is duke as a place? I know it’s incredibly massive though, small disadvantage

@Squashie hmm, I’m just going to tell you my experience with it which may be completely different from someone else’s. When I first arrived on campus, I found the immensity of the campus to be an issue. The place is so big that sometimes getting from one place to the other feels really irritating. But, I think I’ve gotten over this now. The architecture is just mind blowing. Just being in a place this majestic makes you feel important in a way. The Duke students love to party A LOT which can sometimes get annoying for someone like me but its like, if you do not want to party, no one will force you. The American people here may seem really weird first up but you soon realize that they are amazing folks. Some of my fellow students are super smart and active and they can make you feel out of place but there are lots of kids here on the same level as me so I mostly feel fine. The facilities and opportunities here are boundless so you never feel like you missed a chance because something else will soon present itself. The emphasis at Duke is on small classes. Three of my classes are 15 students or fewer and the teachers in those classes know the students well. It just feels like highschool in those classes. My fourth class is a 200 person lecture though xD But one odd class like that just feels nice since it adds variety. Also, practically everyone is doing either Biology/medical/bioengineering, economics or engineering. Sooooo many engineers :stuck_out_tongue: Also, Duke focuses a ton on undergraduate education and research so that is a great plus. Well, that is all that comes to mind for now :D

Yeh class of 19 thread hai ga kya, no one responds -_-

Have any of you taken the SAT? I heard it’s compulsory for all applicants this year.

It’s required for the vast majority but there are a few SAT optional colleges too. LUMS has also made it compulsory now

I really want to go to LUMS. What score do you think they are looking for? I’m taking the SAT on Saturday.

Where are you guys applying?

Mate what school you from?

Hi accidentalnerd! How’s your SAT 2 prep coming along? I’m also giving it in Nov

It’s alright. I have bio physics and chemistry. Haven’t started phys yet though :stuck_out_tongue:
What subjects, @Asad876‌?

@accidentalnerd I have Math instead of Bio. I think it’s easier since there’s less memorization involved :stuck_out_tongue:

P5 Grammarian here. Applying with a SAT score of 2060 to top Liberal Arts Colleges. Rate my chances
