My son applied 9/25 accepted 10/22.
Congrats - is your son at the top of his class or does he have more comparable stats to my son (top 20% - WGPA 3.7 and ACT 27…just curious if anyone is getting accepted that’s not near the 4.0 mark
Very similar to your sons. He had strong ECs and a solid essay. Good Luck! I think your chances are good!
Thanks for the information and congrats to your son
My daughter applied and had all material available on the Portal as of 9/18. Her status says “Your application is currently under consideration with your reviewing counselor”. Kids that applied a few weeks earlier from her school got responses on 10/23. Any guess at how much longer it will be before she gets a response?
I heard only the kids with the super high stats are getting accepted first. Many of them received letters about an early decision. My sister and I are in the same situation as your daughter. I think we should definitely hear before Thanksgiving.
I spoke to my son’s high school counselor late last week. She confirmed that only the super high stats are getting offered acceptances at this point. All the other applications are going to committee and it may take up to 12 wks from the time the application was submitted before a decision is made. This information seemed to calm my son so hopefully it helps others as well
My son received his acceptance today. OOS, 3.6 GPA and 30 ACT. Good luck to all.
I was just accepted today. They were pretty fast; I applied on the 16th.
An admissions counselor was at my daughter’s high school for a visit last week and actually called down a few kids to tell them that they were accepted! Such a nice thing to do! Her application was in by October 2nd.
Did anyones child receive a text message from the office of admissions asking to call after receiving their acceptance?
My son was admitted this morning. For all those still waiting to hear - Good Luck to you!!! It took exactly 8 wks for a decision. For anyone who wants to compare stats - ACT 27 WGPA 3.69 UGPA 3.5 - honors/ap student…Good Luck everyone.

D received invitation to Honors College yesterday! She is very excited as MSU is one of her top choices and was her favorite college visit earlier this year.
Letter also offered a Tuition Grant equalizing to MI resident, Presidential Study Abroad Scholarship, Professorial Assistantship (which sounds very cool) and stated that she’ll receive an invitation to one of the two Alumni Distinguished Scholarship competition weekends.
Congrats to all those accepted and best wishes to those waiting!
