Class of 2020 Application and Acceptance Thread

I was admitted November 24th but my application was complete October 23rd. I was accepted as a pre-nursing major with a 3.49 UW and 3.69 W GPA. I had a 26 ACT and a lot of extracurriculars!!

I was accepted into Human Biology on October 14. I’m international (canadian). I have the requirements to receive the honors college invitation, but the problem is I was accepted when my ACT scores hadn’t arrived yet (I wrote my ACT in september and I was accepted before the results were sent to MSU since I’m international and they’re not required). Should I contact the university and ask them to re-read my application with my ACT scores and send me an honors invite?
Also, I received the Global Neighbors Scholarship (6000$/year) and the Presidential Study Abroad Scholarship. If I get the Honors college Tuition Grant (in-state tuition rates), could I combine these other scholarships with it? I would be paying approximately $17,000 a year if that’s the case. Thanks for the help!

I have a question. Do you need at least a 30 Act to be admitted in the honors college?

I was accepted late October. Submitted around 3 weeks earlier. 1790 SAT, 3.8 UW GPA 4.05 W, Team USA Figure Skater. Very strong essays and good amount of ECs

I got accepted yesterday around 3 PM! College of Natural Sciences.
ACT 33, GPA >3 (not too sure because my school doesn’t give out GPA), but a LOT of extracurriculars and internships.

I was accepted about 2 weeks ago to engineering for computer science. 28 ACT and 4.0 gpa.

D was accepted mid October, act 34. Received a phone message from a student in November saying she qualified for HC and could answer any questions etc & said would call again. We haven’t received any letter or email from HC yet though, should assume will not be invited?

Hey, so I applied two days ago and I expect that my transcripts and SAT scores will be in within the next week. After that, about how much time would they take to tell me if I’m in or not?

Accepted out of state - East Coast. Nice surprise for my son two scholarships this week!

Accepted out of state (New York) into the Neuroscience Program. Applied reg decision but received decision in a few weeks. 3.5 gpa, 15% of class (private school) ,low act score (22), lots of ec’s and leadership positions. There’s hope out there for people who aren’t great test takers or had difficulty in school. Good luck to all!

Kind of a “don’t call us, maybe we’ll call you,” eh?

The stats for the above post are: 30 ACT; 3.4 GPA, with 4 AP classes.

I figure my posts will give someone some hope, got my decision a long time ago.
Out of State, applied for the packaging major
3.8/3.7 GPA
1530 SAT (out of 2400)
Decision: Accepted

I applied to Michigan State on Nov. 3 and got all my required documents in on Nov. 30. Since then, I haven’t heard from the school. Not even an update on my status or a deferral. A couple days ago, I emailed them, asking if they still have my application. They replied back saying that it’s still with the review counselor and that they will send out initial decisions in MID APRIL. I’m wondering if I still have a chance of getting in? I’m just really nervous because this is my number 1 school.
