What are your stats?

Major- Journalism
GPA- 3.33 (weighted) Also, I had a horrible fresh and soph year (in the 2.5 range) but then I improved my Junior and senior year( 3.8,3.7, and 4.2) 3.18 (unweighted)
SAT score- 1390 (horrible I know but I couldn’t afford to retake it)
Out-of-state
Activites- Journalism all 4 years, newspaper won an award each year. Won an individual national award for an article. Editor of newspaper. Also, I’m president of one club, vice president of 2 other clubs. In link crew, CSF, book club, and interact club. Also, I am a youth ambassador for my city. I volunteer at the library. I used to volunteer at a child development center and a thrift store. Also, I volunteer for the American Cancer Society. I’ve spoken at conferences and have had other leadership roles.

Could go either way. May depend on how many out of state applicants have accepted within your major. What are your backup schools?

i submitted my application on 10/31 and received my acceptance letter 11/23.

My son was accepted 3-2-16 with these stats: GPA: 3.46 and ACT: 30. Two years JV sport and zero community service (despite my constant nagging). Applied 8-26-15. There is hope!

My stats are very similar to yours, I wish to major in journalism and am the editor-in-chief and received national awards and not that high of a GPA. I also received that same “your application is under review” message and it hasn’t been updated since the day I applied :frowning: Maybe its because a lot of people applied to the journalism school?

I applied on December 28, 2015 and am still awaiting a reply. Someone on here said that they were sending decision before or on March 25th but that could possibly only be for them. I am awaiting this schools decision and University of Washington so I can make my choice and I’m getting a little impatient. Do any of you know the reason that they are taking so long with decisions and if all decisions will be out by March 25th?
