Today: Waitlisted to Lehigh, accepted to Duke :))
Clearly the admissions officers knew that I wasn’t really looking at Lehigh as my first choice, so I can’t honestly say I’m surprised.
@allthingstesla can I ask you what your stats are? Just curious. I was waitlisted at Lehigh and rejected from Duke.

Pretty shocked I didn’t get in tbh. Wasn’t much wrong with my app. Duke said 32,100 applicants so that’s over 2000 more than last year…
So why didn’t I get a decision?
Guys and gals, if Admissions feels their beloved school is being treated as a “safety,” don’t expect a great deal of love back in return.
Well S is waitlisted. Too bad as that was probably his top choice. But he has other good options.
So if I didn’t get a decision does that mean I’m rejected?
@mossdog54 I know, that is why I said I’m not surprised. Honestly, I can’t be mad or upset either, because Lehigh wasn’t my top choice (far form it actually), however, I do think that Lehigh’s strategy when it comes to admissions does end up screwing over really qualified students who really DO want to attend the University, but may not be able to take tours or do interviews, etc.
Son accepted today with a 2070 SAT 4.3 W and 4,0 UW GPA to engineering. So crazy trying to figure out all of the schools that he applied to decisions. Really thought he was going to get waitlisted here and get into Villanova. Truly a crapshoot.
Daughter did set up the new pin/password to be able to see the FA info. Is this “just” need based as it mentions the staford loan, but nothing else. Has anyone else been able to determine merit money?
