NOTE : I’ve written about EC’s in brief but i wish you could read them completely and give thoughts on my chances as a STEM Applicant

@Siddu2912 Considering your SAT I and SAT subject scores, it appears to me that all your universities are in the reach category. I would recommend having a few safe schools. Your general ECs are alright. Your robotics related ECs are impressive. However I would caution against putting all your hopes on your robotics related achievements only – robotics has, of late become a tired trope.

Last I checked, My SAT1 score was within the 25th and 75th percentile of each of my choices except Yale and Stanford.
Subject tests scores are definitely on the lower end.

Also, I split my Ec’s equally amongst community service and multiple clubs. Other than that I wrote about my internship, student body and robotics.

They convey that I’m a well rounded individual with a massive spike in robotics.
Thanks anyway!

@Siddu2912 , very impressive ECS… but i second india2018 … you can consider few safe schools too… look at last year indian thread you might get to know which are the safe schools you can consider too. And since you are looking for financial aid, research the schools which provide aids for international students and look at their acceptance rate and apply. All the very best!!

any idea when UTA will start releasing results for international students? I had applied as per their priority timeline and my Ds status currently says they are reviewing her app.

EDIT : I got a full ride to some Australian and nzd univs (Names REDACTED) which is why my list is like this.

And if you could share your stats/ profiles or of those who got accepted to similar schools it would be great

Also UTA sends decisions for priority on Feb1

I thought UT Austin priority was only for US applicants and not internationals.
So, Internationals start hearing back in March.

@Siddu2912 Bruh, you’re too proud of your achievements.
Last thing any University wants is a student who is a braggart!
Your recs
A 11/10
Seriously?
In schools like Stanford, Yale and Cornell, even God may get waitlisted.

I have applied to CMU; It highly recommends the initial interview. What are the questions like? Has anyone taken it previously? Does it have a considerable affect on the admission process as well?

Your SAT score is way way low for Caltech and Cornell - unlikely to ge admitted.

Has anyone got an interview for Stanford/Princeton/Yale RD?

I got a notification from Princeton, but the interviewer has yet to follow up

Did any of you guys get into gatech?

I got into Gatech 2022! for CS

Hey @Runictable3626, congratulations! UIUC and Georgia Tech are both fantastic schools. In an earlier comment, you mentioned that you would drop UIUC admission only for Michigan, Ivies and one other university (correct me if I am wrong).

Talking purely in terms of engineering departments and graduate salaries, Georgia Tech is better. As for the location, Chicago is truly amazing and beautiful but Champaign is a small town, nearly a 2hr ride from Chicago (and Indianapolis). Weather in the Midwest is far from being friendly. Winters, especially, are unbelievably harsh. On the other side, Georgia Tech is a few minutes from downtown Atlanta which is not as big or famous as Chicago but it is the main hub in the state. Weather in the South is so much more pleasant. If I were you, Georgia Tech is where I would go. I am also a ChemE guy, so I would definitely prefer Atlanta because the location offers a far superior job market for me.

@ram2621 Which city are you in?

Even I made it to Gatech for CS

Anybody applying to UCLA received the mail for the duolingo test?
