I could be wrong, but for some reason I thought they sent the letters yesterday (Dec. 11)
Admissions just tweeted The Packets Are Coming. Who else will be stalking the mailman?
Does anyone know why some students received acceptances a month ago and others are waiting for the packets?
They release decisions on a rolling basis.
Also @anxwaiting…these packets they are releasing are the rest of the Early Action decisions. They have sent out several waves of acceptance letters to EA applicants as they get through batches at a time.
Does anyone know if they only give the VIP Id to accepted students or are all applicants assigned one of these 8 digit numbers?
This question (VIP ID) come up in old threads. We were told last year that the account is created when FAFSA info is sent in, and does not mean that a student has been admitted. If you are able to log in, It will show ineligible for admission until a decision is made.
Just saw a tweet that Honors College decisions are coming next week.
Still waiting in central NC, today is when my Georgetown notification is supposed to come as well so I’m double axious.
Just got my YES envelope!!! At least $82,000 in scholarships
My son also received his YES envelope with at least $82,000 in scholarships! Santa arrived early.
@OnlySon2022 @gtownhopeful2016 where r u guys located? My D is still waiting for her letter here in NJ…thanks and congrats to you!!
@momslastonetogo The ones I’ve seen on Twitter are all in SC or NC. We’re in NJ too…and since D didn’t get her app in until Oct 30, she might not be in this round. Hoping she is, but we’ll see! Good luck. I hope your D gets her letter today!
D got her letter today. “At least” in-state tuition reduction. (We’re in NJ, for anyone wondering.)
No word today in NY. Gonna be a long weekend.
Received letter today in Mass. Deferred. The letter says, “Your application has been selected for Second Review…”
In Md- my son got his yes today! Beyond thrilled- early xmas gift!! He applied to sports management so we receive in- state tuition - no word on any other money yet…
Hi everyone im a little confused I’m from Texas and have a 4.69 weighted gpa and a 34 ACT, I was invited to apply to the honors college and did so, but my application is “under secondary review” which when I looked at the FAQ said that was based on grades and test scores. I’m really interested in the honors program and does this mean I’m no longer being considered?
@Cfedholt712 what state are you from? Does your comment about in state tuition mean no school in your state offers that major? My son was also accepted into the Sports Management program but there was no mention of in state tuition other than that he would receive a minimum amount of merit money (final number to be provided in March). We are in VA and JMU has a program so I guess that’s not a consideration for us.
^^In-state tuition is granted based on scores/stats. It is also possible to get reduced OOS tuition. The tuition waiver is not based on availability of major in your state. Final information will come in March.
