Am I the only one who applied for early action and hasn’t received anything yet? Still in the dark with no updates to the dashboard or emails.
@VictoiaAG You should probably contact the admissions department
Well I contacted the admissions office. They said even though I applied for Early Action, they still haven’t looked at my application and they don’t know when I’ll hear back. Best bet is to contact an admissions officer and try and get an estimate.
@VictoiaAG That happened to us last year. I finally emailed the director of admissions after the holidays and got a decision the next day. Good luck!
The number of applications for Early Action to GMU must be increasing meaning more applications to review.
Has anyone received the acceptance package yet? I’m waiting to see what the cost will be. I am pretty sure we aren’t recieving any financial aid.
VictoiaAG have you heard back from admissions yet? I applied EA also with the Common App, and when I click on it it still says “Congratulations! Your application is under review.”. I emailed admissions a while ago and have not recieved a response.

I got in!
When will the RD decisions come out?
Anyone hear about University Scholars? I’m not expecting it, but I’m not sure how super-starrish you have to be so I’m holding a thread of hope.
S18 got an invite to Celebration of Excellence. Which makes me wonder if most students accepted to Honors got this invite and the fortunate few got a US invite instead of or at the same time as this.
Congrats to all who’ve gotten in!
@YOLO2018 I would check their website for the official (latest in general) time you would hear. Last couple of years’ threads can give you an idea of when the decisions really come out vs when they say they do.
@snoozn This is an email from the University Scholars program:
“Students who are invited to campus for the University Scholars Program interview process will receive an email from our Assistant Dean and Director of the program on January 24, and will receive an invitation in the mail in the week following. Only students who are invited to campus will be notified”
All students accepted to the honors college were invited to the Celebration of Excellence
@houndlover thanks – so, at least a chance and I’ll know tomorrow!
My son just received his RD acceptance. An email notification was sent this morning saying his decision was ready. We’re OOS and he applied as a Criminology major.
My daughter received her acceptance email 2 days ago into the Government and Public Policy dept. They originally told her they needed more academic info from her and a few days after sending her mid year grades and dual enrollment grade she was accepted!!
My daughter (and I, oddly) got an email that says her decision is ready on the portal. When we go to the portal, the page is blank. It says “Welcome Mary!” And nothing else other than the tabs “My Application” My events, Why Mason, News at Mason. Nothing happens when she clicks My application. When we got to the admissions page, it says to log in, but she doesn’t have a log in. Any hints?
@Hathor that sounds like a technical glitch. Call the admissions office to get this fixed.
She got in! Thx Raclut.
