Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

Big news came last night in an email: Hartt = Yes!!! My son could not be more happy. He had received a very positive email from a faculty member on Sunday night that essentially said he was accepted. Last night’s email from the director of admissions made it official!

For those still waiting, here’s the info: He auditioned at NYC Unifieds (loved the audition!). The email said that they are working out scholarship offers for the newly accepted students and then official letters will go out.

Congratulations @ZukAndSowash !

Congratulations, @ZukAndSowash! My daughter is at Hartt and loves it.

So happy for your S @ZukAndSowash !!! I know this process was hard on you both but YAY!!! It was worth it!!!

Congrats @ZukAndSowash !! Very happy for you!

@ZukAndSowash Way to stay strong and hang in there! Just goes to show, a second-tier rejection (even a “Congratulations … but” rejection) doesn’t say much of anything about how better schools will evaluate you and whether you’ll get into one. There is hope for us all ?

Congratulations @ZukAndSowash!

The latest: this should get exciting in the next few weeks! Note: as it gets closer to the date, schools often post on their social media accounts when they’re notifying (the ones that notify all students on the same day.) Or once mass notifications start the news flies through the kids’ social media groups.

Wright St 1/24 (a date one person heard last year)

No from UNCSA this morning - email to check portal. D is fine - great program but probably not her best fit.

@Divamamacita Sorry to hear the news, but what a great attitude. “See ya …Next!”

I found this online for JMU - Not sure if it’s current or not… “Typically, School of Theatre and Dance decisions are available by April 1st for Regular Decision applicants and between January 15th and March 1st for Early Action applicants. Decisions are provided through MyMadison (the same portal you are notified of your admissions decision from the university.)”

May not apply to many, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland sent notification today of “reserve” status (waitlist); D did a walk in in Chicago, really enjoyed it.

My daughter said her Ithaca portal is down right now. Anybody think decisions might be forthcoming soon?

Ithaca is notorious for just turning off your portal before you get a letter from them.

@El-Cee If Ithaca follows what they have done in the past- portal shut down happens before getting the dreaded letter.

Our Ithaca no came just by email on Tuesday, so don’t know what the portal change might mean. Good luck!

Portal still active for my S. But status still shows as “interested” and not “accepted”. Could be positive news, could mean absolutely nothing. Uggh.

Thanks guys… seems a “no” may be imminent, which would be absolutely fine! D is lucky to already have 4 great BFA options at this point and many others still up in the air. I would not even know how to think about paying for Ithaca anyway, so silver linings I guess! We did love the program director though, she seems like a treasure for those students.

S’s Facebook group says decisions on Ithaca in the next couple of days. That’s from a current student in MT.

My son said that a friend of his has gotten a Yes from Montclair. So far, I have only seen No’s from them on the board. My son hasn’t heard from them yet.
