Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

@MTMomma13 We are also waiting to hear from Pace!

Pace already made acceptance calls

@CountessKimmie when? We know they made calls on Friday, but so far we donā€™t know of any boys who have received the call. Did they call the boys today already?

Congratulations to your Ds on Coastal Carolina @Robin2000 and @2019wolves ! Great news!

There has been no further news on Pace calls since Friday. From past years, these calls go out over the course of many, many days. Calls started Friday. Campus was closed on Monday. Also, not everyone who gets accepted will get a phone call (per info session this year).

@MTMomma13 also waiting for Pace too

D got email from CCU - accepted to BFA Acting

@BrennaK Regarding Pace, this is the ridiculous behavior of some schools that Iā€™m talking about. Acceptances trickling out via phone call over the span of many, many days. And not everyone who is accepted will even get a call??? Huh? Who in the world came up with that grand scheme? Seriously, this borders on institutional insanity. And the kids pay the price for the ā€œprivilegeā€ of having an opportunity to go there. These schools need to get with it and think about what they are doing.

Has anyone heard a no from TCU / should I be worried that I havenā€™t heard back?

@loribelle this is always a red flag to me. I donā€™t know why but it is. I love the schools tha will tell you upfront that the kids that start as freshmen graduate.

@loribelle I canā€™t message yet, but I have a few questions. Is there anyway you can message me and I can reply?

Anyone hear anything other than acceptances for Coastal Carolina? We havenā€™t heard yes or no, here. Just curious.

@mauidad Iā€™m not sure what you are saying, but itā€™s not unusual for schools to not graduate with 100% retention in the program. Almost every MT program where my D has contacts have lost 1-2 along the 4 years: decided to work, money, family issues, health issues, flunked out, not a fit, whatever: I can name at least 6 top schools where that happened.

@MTmama23 after 15 posts you can private message someone or they can message you!

@loribelle I never, ever post (3 year lurker here) so I donā€™t have enough yet. Can you message me do I can ask about TCU?

@MTMama23 I did that too! Just start asking some questions and you will be up to 15 in no time and we can connect!

Ok. ?

D received email accepted to BFA Physical Theater around 4 PM EST today to Coastal Carolina.

@mauidad - from what I know its pretty normal to have a smaller senior class vs freshman class for a BFA program. In any difficult college program some kids are going to change streams after realizing that the process is more arduous than expected and the payoff less exciting. But the BFA programs have additional sources of attrition called ā€œcareersā€ - performers do get cast in shows and leave school behind, thatā€™s a good thing! If what youā€™re saying is that you like it when the school is dedicated to keeping their students rather than dedicated to weeding them out, then I agree. Programs that are known for cutting down their classes by making students get through very difficult or arbitrary internal juries are viewed rather dimly by most parents! You want a school that wants your student to succeed. I think TCU has a good reputation for that so I definitely wouldnā€™t judge the supportiveness of the faculty by its ratio of seniors to freshmen.

@MTMama23 can you ask here so those of us with kids accepted can benefit unless they are personal is love to get as much info about this school as possible
