Congrats @CanaDad !!

@CanaDad Fantastic! Congratulations!!

@CanaDad Congratulations!

Thanks. Fingers crossed going forward for everybody!

@BoolaBoola My D is a freshmen at Western Michigan. I will text her and see if she has heard anything.

@MI3rdClosingAct Thank you!!

Per my D’s audition last week at Western Michigan, they should begin notifying after their last audition (3/9 I believe).

@“boola boola” No - she was not. She did stay on PWL into the summer. Once she did her orientation at BU, though, she said it would have taken ALOT to make her change her mind. I said for me - all it would take was $$ :))

@artskids I can totally relate!! We loved BU when we visited. Hoping for some good news from there.

@BoolaBoola ,@typhanileigh Last on campus audition for Western Michigan is March 15. Last year, D auditioned March 23 and found out March 30.

Thanks!

Last year, my D auditioned for Western Michigan at Chicago Unifieds and got an “early” offer on March 1. They did ask for a quick response as they were continuing to audition and make offers.

@artskids Wow, that would be a really tough decision if you still had some big schools outstanding. Thanks for the information!

@“boola boola” That’s sort of what my D is facing. Getting pressure from program she likes while a couple higher on her list are still pending.

@afterp89 That just doesn’t sit right with me. If a school wants to do that, it should have true early decision and force commitment. Otherwise, whether rolling or a set date, offer what you think you’ll need to get your desired yield. These kids have enough pressure on them. They should be allowed to complete the process that they started.

They really cannot force you to decide (unless of course, you applied ED) BUT they don’t have to hold your spot. In our case, if they had filled their class and my D then accepted, she’d have been out of luck.
