Class of 2023 MT Artistic Acceptance Notifications: How/When/Where

Is that how all of these rolling schools handle it?

re: pressure from the school to accept - clearly the school wants you if they made the offer and they’ll hold your spot until May 1. Just be communicative, thank them, let them you you are definitely still interested, but explain you need to hear from all your applications and you expect to know on or shortly after April 1.

Ok - Otterbein info session they just said they’ll meet next week and everyone should know if they’re still in the “consideration pool” by the end of next week with updated notifications going out late Feb/early March.

D just received her acceptance to CCM! So relieved and excited. Hopefully today brings great news for everyone out there!

Congratulations @ajvikes!! Very happy for her.

@ajvikes so happy for your daughter! Was it through an email dated today? Where did she audition?

@mtnyc19 Email dated today. She auditioned at Chicago Unifieds.

Optimitic thinking but does anybody know from past years for schools that notify by phone, will they leave a voicemail? Or does my S have to pick up every call from Michigan, Texas, Pennsylvania and New York for the next month?

@Jpkcmo I think he’d better answer. He’ll either have lots of awesome offers, or he’ll get really good at dealing with telemarketers.

@Jpkcmo ~ I don’t think Michigan or CMU made calls last year.

@Jpkcmo RE CMU, @lojosmo is correct. At least last year, they did not make any calls, and all decisions (yes, no redirects and WLs) were all via portal on 3/12. Hope that helps!

@Jpkcmo last year my D’s phone call came during her tap class. MT department head left a voicemail & she called back as soon as she was out of tap class. She checked her phone after class and saw that area code she’d been praying for under missed phone calls. Her best friend filmed her getting the phone call offer. I’m so grateful to have her reaction on video since she was not at home. Sweet friend to think to do that. It’s a fun memory to look back on.

My daughter’s friend got a phone call from Michigan for Acting yesterday. She auditioned on campus a few weeks ago.

My D’s status from CCM changed from “Hold” to “Wait List” today.

Very quiet today

my D was notified today by Rider
 Chicago audition.

@El-Cee my S got his acceptance letter to Rider in the mail today along with financial aid package. Dated 2/13. Chicago.

@El-Cee How was she notified?

D just got a yes (woohoo!) from Viterbo via email. She auditioned at Unifieds in Chicago.
