@bnursing55, last year decisions were released a few minutes before 5 pm on March 1. That was a Friday. Not sure what they will do this year given the first is on a Sunday. The website says: “Admissions decision notification begins March 1” so it could be Monday…
I talked to my UConn admissions counselor and he said that decisions will still be released on March 1st this year. Good luck to all!
@IMPATIENT MOM
Thank you I will have her look on the portal and see if she can edit.
Does anyone else have access to HuskyCT? I just checked and saw I was granted access to take both a math and chemistry exam, and I was given a Student ID number…
Interesting. Did you take ECE classes at UConn?
Edited to add that my DS20 takes ECE dual enrollment classes at UConn and was just able to log I. To HuskyCT. Not sure it necessarily means you were admitted?
I did and currently do take UConn ECE courses at my school! It’s strange because I pressed “enroll” for these exams and they give me the option to take the exams right now with instructions on the test itself (not that I’m going to haha)! Just interesting considering that in these forums in years past, this seems to be the first step into the admissions process. I kept peeking around, saw names of professors that teach these courses, course names, etc. Confirmed that this seems to be the first step by some friends also who were admitted last year from my school, they had these same things updated in their huskyct’s as well at this time of year. Not counting chickens before they hatch but hoping this is a good sign!
Everyone looking to check theirs, log into huskyct.uconn.edu, that’s the link I used and I don’t think I even had to sign in with any numbers, I was just prompted to the home screen.
My son was able to log into HusktyCT too with same login as the app status login. He does not take ECE (we are in NC). There are also links to the math and chemistry placement exam, and a student ID number.
Interesting! Well, we’ll know in a couple of weeks!
Worked for my son who is in state and takes ECE classes
I am able to log in (it logged me in automatically) and also offered me a math and chemistry placement exam. Also found a student ID number. Out of state
Hmm—so unclear if it means anything, but the fact that some non-ECE students can get in is promising. The waiting is hard, but March 1 will be here before you know it. Good luck to all. I’m not sharing this with DS, as I don’t want to get his hopes up. We are in-state, and if he gets in to the business school
It will probably move to the top of the list.
@lexington29 Do you know anyone who was not admitted last year who was unable to log in?
I was able to get in and see a student ID number and math and chemistry placement exams. No ECE classes, as I am out of state. Is anyone not able to get in?
My son was also able to log in to HuskyCT using his same credentials as the portal. Under self-enrolled courses and organizations he has the following: math placement exam, chemistry placement exam and student organization (leader) training. Not sure what that last one is.
My Daughter doesn’t see anything different in her portal. No HuskyCT
I also have the student organization leader training. Anyone know what that could mean. Out of state no ECE by the way.
Go to huskyct.uconn.edu and try to log in with portal log in info
My S hasn’t received a decision from a UConn yet. I was able to log into the huskyCT link that @philippians provided above but it only said “Welcome to the new Blackboard” or something like that… I don’t think it means anything - at least for my S…
@CTCape everyone from my school who applied last year got in. Not necessarily everyone into Storrs, but into regional campuses as well. Everyone I have spoken to who applied this year from my town also has access to the student ID numbers, exam enrollments, etc.
That being said, does anyone NOT have access to any of these features of HuskyCT? I’m just wondering if it’s a thing that everyone has access to, and after all this wondering if it really does mean nothing.
It’s also worth looking into previous years’ forums, there’s some interesting insight into the process during mid to late February before decisions for all those as curious as I am.
Ok - weird but now I’m seeing what some of you are discussing…math, chemistry and student org leadership training…OOS and haven’t received any decision yet…so, again, not sure if it means anything…
