Congrats!!!
Us too, OOS CA 15,000 a year. Not sure if she will end up there, but every $ makes things interesting!
Thanks for the headās up. My son just checked and got $11,000. OOS
Congratulations on all of the Auburn admittances and especially the merit scholarships for OOS!! My DD will be applying for the Class of 2026. Would those who received OOS merit mind sharing their stats? It would help our family to know what she might be eligible to receive next year.
Same here for my OOS Son, $15k per year merit.
He has 32 ACT one sitting
3.75 UW GPA
4.0 W GPA
4 year Varsity Tennis
Internships in Summer of soph year and Junior year
6 APs with 4ās and 5
Pretty good ECās and great essays
Teacher recs very good
applied reg decision in November, accepted in January
My sonās test scores arenāt the highest but he has a lot of rigor and very strong recs. His school doesnāt rank and I have no idea what GPA to list since itās calculated so differently. Heās in the orchestra and played 2 sports during high school, so heās a well-rounded kid. His volunteer activities directly apply to his sport and to his future major, so I would think that plays into it as well. He applied engineering.
Hmmm, still not seeing any merit in AUSOM. Just financial stats. We are OOS, high stats and lots of activities and leadership.
Where in the portal did you find it? Auburnās portal and tabs are so much more confusing than every other school!
Yes seeing the same in D21ās portal with what sounds like the same profile.
My daughter also cannot seem to access her āTiger Mailā although she is definitely in AU Access. The Auburn site is definitely not as user-friendly as others!
The merit aide was through AUSOM. I think (could be wrong) you needed to apply through AUSOM by a certain date. I donāt think merit aide was handed out if you did not apply or set up the AUSOM account by that dateā¦I think it was Dec 1st.
She did apply by the EA cutoff date and applied for scholarships through AUSOM ` submitted it in early January. The deadline was Dec for application and Feb 1 for AUSOM. I wonder if merit is rolling or if that was the end of itā¦
I would bet it is rolling since admissions were rolling as well. Their office was quick to respond to e-mails, if you decide to reach out!
FYI about Tiger Mail-- Auburn uses Outlook. type outlook.com into browser, click Sign In at top, then her Auburn email address. etcā¦ where it prompts you. Took us awhile to figure that out.
You can look up the Merit scholarship information for Auburn. Its based on GPA and Test Score. Auburn doesnāt superscore if I recall. My daughter has a 4.2+ gpa and a 30 ACT in one sitting. She received $11,000 Merit.
I spoke to the scholarship office and Auburn did not award Merit Scholarships to Out of State Test Optional applicants. Website says test scores were optional so no clue why they decided to change their minds.
Quick question - do you have to download that Duo app to see if you were awarded any merit or other AUSOM scholarships?
You do not need Duo. Just log back into the AUSOM site and scroll down to see which scholarships youāve applied for, it should show then if you received any merit.
All merit was awarded on the same day.
Not surprised D21 didnāt receive any of the other categorized scholarships from AUSOM but expected the $15K merit award based on their website and all of our research. Guess weāll chalk this one up to the increased apps because of test optional, sadlyā¦we loved Auburn when we visited this summer, it was her top OOS choice but canāt consider it without the $15K (especially when Alabama awarded $28K). Are they definitely done awarding scholarships for those already accepted?
Does anyone have an ETA on the college-specific scholarships? Iāve heard early March but Iām not sure.
