Class of 26 thread … where is it?

Dang did that entire thread get deleted ?!

Well, that’s strange.

Didn’t support the bottom line

I don’t understand why it was removed?

@CC_Mike

I guess they decided to delete the thread or will require a small fee to view it next year! Good luck to all especially to all the HS Seniors and the “Class of 2022”

I was wondering the same thing. I wasn’t on last night to see if they really had a big wave?

I had it open last night to read this morning…and it’s gone? What??

I can’t figure why they would remove UT’s 2026 thread but TAMUs is still there. I’m assuming it was done type of error and hoping it’ll be back up later

Just oped the app status page. My son got offered CAP - my question is he already has 52 transferrable college credits (dual credit) with a 4.0 and honors. How would CAP help him? I can’t believe they didn’t admit him…

I wish the old thread was here because lots of students were offered CAP and a couple were discussing this same issue.

Good luck to your son !

We’re looking into restoring the thread. I found it, but I need someone with admin privileges to restore.

Last night was a bloodshed… flurries of CAP offers (for in-state) and dreaded rejections for out of state applicants.

The one night I was out and not by my laptop to keep up. Hopefully they get the thread back.

It is very strange the UT 2026 Admissions thread would be deleted or disappear. It is also very strange that UT did not/or has not yet sent and email about the decision status change for so many people.

While it is unfortunate they have to turn away STELLAR students, it is NOT of GOOD INTEGRITY the way that UT executes their admissions process. Not one other school my kiddos have applied to (for 2020 and 2022) have been as poorly done and as inconsiderate to the mental health of their applicants.

As an advisor of the college application process, I would certainly have to give caution to anyone wanting to apply to UT, in good faith.

Regardless of the decisions you have received, UT applicants, YOU are amazing kiddos…so smart, and so driven. You will all go on to do great things!

It’s odd that it would even be able to have been deleted or disappear. Isn’t it stated somewhere that responses can’t be deleted because it would affect the integrity of the thread for the future?

I feel for people who were asking pertinent questions that would help them in making a decision about CAP or other things.

Agreed. My top 1.3% (11th when he submitted, now 5th out of 819 kids) auto admit kid with 5.37 gpa, near-perfect test scores, NMSF, AP scholar with distinction (15 APs and 2 DC), has a job, volunteers at the animal shelter, won DI globals twice, director of interact and is a competitive swimmer got put into liberal arts instead of engineering and they didn’t tell him until last night. While A&M has been recruiting him hard and offered full-ride plus honors engineering. I told him “you haven’t been happy with how UT has handled any of this process, why do you think the next four years would have been better had you got in? While at the same time you have loved the way A&M has treated you.” In the end, I think we will be grateful for the rejection since he will be at the better-managed school that values the hard work he has done over the last 4 years. Gig 'Em!

Impressive accomplishments and impressive college offer!!!

Why was it taken down?

It wasn’t. At least not by a human.
