Class Rank, GPA, and School with Poor Reputation

My crappy parochial school has not sent a kid to an Ivy due to academics in years. They also have no class rank. As a top student, I think that this is the reason. I was told that admissions officers will try to place you based on your GPA and the highest in class. I was wondering A) what people thought about class rank and B) what people would suspect about my rank in the class.

Highest GPA- 4.310
My GPA- 4.259

Last Years Valedictorian- 4.222 (I don't know if colleges see this and doubt they do)
What My Actual Rank is After Talking with top kids- #2 (colleges will not know until end of year ceremony where it is announced)

(Side info: 800M, 730CR, 710W, 33ACT, 750+ on all 3 IIs)

Will colleges realize that I am actually that high in my class, or will they think that I am just an average kid? If it were closer between me and the #1 I wouldn't be worried, but its a big gap. And its a big gap between me and the #3!

Can you have your GC write a letter as to where you stand?

You will be fine. They can see that you are a top student and also top of your class.

I'm sure when your guidance counselor writes your recommendation letter, they will make it obvious that you are an outstanding student at your school. I wouldn't worry about it!

i'm not sure that class rank is the reason your school hasnt sent anyone to an Ivy lately. my school doesnt rank either, and every year we have at least a few get into Ivy's.

anyways, i think you have an excellent change to getting into a top notch or Ivy school. if you are that concerned about schools not being aware of your rank, i'm sure your counselor would be willing to write it into his letter if you ask him/her to do so.
