Class Rank: Large high school vs. small high school

Based on some of the information I’ve heard about West Point, I’ve heard that class rank is very important to them - even more so than GPA. I was wondering if they would take into consideration what type of high school you go to? For example, the high school I go to is very competitive - the valedictorian this year has a 4.9 GPA, is involved in many extracurriculars, and is going to Harvard. Therefore, my class rank would be lower here than if I went to a less competitive high school. What are your thoughts on this?

Yes…USMA does consider your school profile when reviewing your class rank. Don’t worry about anything that you don’t have control over. Good Luck!
