Just to make sure, UT Austin bases admissions on the END of Junior Year class rank, right?
What if you were to drop out of the auto admit range the moment Senior transcripts come out(For me October) and that’s when you applied? Or will they ALWAYS use your end of Junior Year Transcript when you apply, even if you apply in lets say late November- even after your first senior transcripts came out.
Yes, junior year grades are the last grades considered for admission.
BUMP. Very urgent. My school reranks every 9 weeks.
@TheAvidSeeker Read the line below. It is from the UT admissions page.
“Applicants should submit transcripts indicating rank for the latest completed semester prior to the application deadline.”
So, even though your school reranks every 9 weeks, is the semester completed?
Most likely, your last completed semester was the spring semester of your Jr year. The Admissions page does not ask for you to send a transcript of your latest ranking. It asks for the transcript of your last completed semester.
They base it on END of junior year. For those students who gain admission, they will also request end of senior year transcript so do not let your grades slip or take a bunch of easy classes senior year.
