how do students with undeclared major prefer classes? do we just strictly follow what the counselors recommend? and since we don't know any prerequisites without a major, do we just get rid of all the GEs first?

Yes. GE’s. Also take a liberal amount of lower-div classes from different departments. I ended up switching/adding majors three times before the end of my 2nd year because I kept finding different fields interesting.

Is it hard to graduate in four years if you switch majors a few times. I’m going into UCSD undeclared. I have a general idea of what I want to study (social science or communications) but I want to make sure I graduate on time.

I went into UCSD undeclared and I’m graduating in 3 years. Just get your GEs done first is my advice
