I am curious, what kind of classes do undeclared students take ? Anyone like to share their schedule ?

they take GE’s. a sample schedule for a freshman would probably look like math 2a, writing 39a, intro to psych 7a etc etc stuff like that

I was undeclared, and I took a healthy share of GE’s and since I have an idea as to which major I want to transfer into, I took pre-req or required classes for that major.

I am planning to apply to hopefully transfer into Business Admin, but if not I will fall back on Business Economics

Fall Quarter:
Math 2A (GE + required for econ/business majors)
Writing 39B (GE)
Econ 20A (GE + required for econ/biz)
MGMT 10 (required for biz)

Winter Quarter:
Uni Studies 2 (A popular class for undeclared students) (GPA booster)
Oceanography (GE)
Cosmology (GE)
Econ 20B (GE + required for econ/biz)

Spring Quarter:
Econ 25 (required for econ/biz, substitutes for MGMT 30A)
Writing 31 (GE)
Informatics 44 (Placeholder, easy Pass/No Pass, extra units)
Anthro 2A (GE)

As you can see, my schedules were not really filled with hard classes at all… I ended with a 3.8~, so if you have no idea as to what you want to major in yet, take classes that are entry-level but also fulfill GE’s.

And I finished up Math 2B and took another GE (Psych) over this past summer.

oooo. how was the uni studies 2? I’m a business admin major, and i was looking into some easy classes i can take in winter and spring…

i highly recommend getting out of u/u asap… at least be undeclared under a school if you have an idea of what you want to major in because if there’s school restrictions it starts getting annoying to get the classes you want.
you basically just take GEs though. but really, start thinking about what you want to major in / majors you want to explore and take the GEs that are prereqs for that.

@ashley uni studies 2 is easy! lol. it’s only like 2 units though. people mainly only get a bad grade if they don’t go to lecture/discussion… there’s weekly homework assignments but they’re all easy things like journals / resumes etc. they say you have to do reading, but you don’t… there’s no final as well.
there’s also easy GE classes, they may not be as easy as uni studies 2 but they’re easier than other GEs, like: anthro2a - check the prof on ratemyprof, ESS (1,3,5; i thought 3 was the easiest, others you had to have a good memory to get an A), also supposedly the Art Stu 9 series is easy.
